Hope everyone had a great weekend. This past week's thread had some great work posted it it, good job! I decided to make a small table runner for the coffee table in the living room since I couldn't find anything I liked for Fall. I found this pattern and am going to re-arrange it to my liking and embroider on some cotton that I have had sitting around for awhile. I should be done by the end of the week (hopefully) and will post a picture when complete. Still working on a crochet blanket for DH for Christmas, put it aside to work on the table runner, along with the tea towels. What is everyone else working on?

I'm anxious to see your pictures. My stash of dishcloths is finally growing. I have 25 done and another almost done. I think I gave away 15 when I first started so my total is right at 40!! No wonder I have callouses on my fingers

No wonder I have callouses on my fingers Kathy - I had to lay the blanket WIP down also because I was getting a cramp in my wrist, lol. The yarn is sorta heavy but floppy so you have to hold the piece as you work along the chain, so it gets to be a workout ! I am happy to fling the embroidery thread around for a week to recoup. Glad to hear you are catching up on your dishcloths - you will be the dishcloth pro once you are done. I like to make them because it is a neat and quick way to learn new stitches.

Well, I have been making a regular, old giant granny square afghan out of leftover yarn from my last two afghans. I really want to start an afghan for my sister but just haven't found the pattern I'm looking for. Any suggestions on good websites for crochet patterns?
I really like the pumpkin embroidery. That is cute.

Super cute sweaters and models!
I have been working on crochet cat toys for a craft show next month.
I have also been working on a plastic canvas perpetual calendar for my Grandma for Christmas. This isn't portable, so Ive been taking the crochet for car rides.
I have super bad driving anxiety when I am a passenger so doing crochet or some craft keeps me distracted enough to not drive my husband crazy.

You guys are so talented. I am really angry with myself. There is was an blanket posted here awhile back that I really wanted to make and I will be darn if I can find the post. I think it was on the old board and now I have lost it of course. I have the name around the world on my brain but I am not sure that is right. It was made with squares I think. I remember I even sent a picture of it to my DIL but I cant find that either.

I can only crochet mostly squares and rectangles (you can do a lot of stuff in those shapes! lol). Currently making myself an infinity scarf from some fab yarn I found this summer. I'll probably make a scarf for my son's girlfriend too. she's hard to shop for.
Love those sweaters. So nice! That takes talent.

I found this link and it looks familiar - is this what you had in mind?

I finally, finally learned the brioche stitch. I don't know why I waited to long because it's super easy. DH wants this scarf for Christmas, which should knit up quickly:

epeanymous - Those sweaters are so cute, as well as the children. They are sure to stay warm this fall/winter freebird - I have only recently ventured from doing mostly square designs and onto the granny stripe. I was getting tired of having so many dishclothes around, but it is a great way to learn new stitches, though. rebelyelle - That is such a neat scarf! Is the brioche stitch a knit stitch only? That will make a nice gift for your DH. Everyone is posting such great stuff, makes me really happy to see that we have such a talented groups of peeps here on the new(ish) board. Keep up the great work!

Aw, thanks guys! I think those little guys are pretty cute too, but I admit some bias. The green sweater is the Purl Soho Pullover, and it is sized from baby to adult. It is knit in the round and just has teeny underarm seams, so is a great pattern if you are a beginning knitter and want something that isn't complicated but looks awesome. I may not be a beginning knitter, but I love a simple sweater that I can make while watching true crime reality tv .

I did up a quick little crocheted rig for my truck-loving DD. It was a free pattern from Ravelry.

Why have I not looked at these threads before? I spent last fall/winter re-learning knitting. I made a mobius scarf for me, DD and cousin. We loved them. I have promised DH an afghan. I found one that is a crocheted(sp?) shell pattern. The yarn was picked out and purchased last winter. Guess I need to get to work on that.
I am now wanting to make some of the knitwear from Outlander. The cowl, not a problem. What I did last winter. I now want to make the shawl that Claire wears. Do you all find free patterns or are you purchasing them?

Ignore the blah gray T-shirt. This is a braided infinity scarf I just finished. Love this shade of Red.

rebelyelle - That is such a neat scarf! Is the brioche stitch a knit stitch only? That will make a nice gift for your DH. It's a knit stitch with a funny little slipped/yarn over purl. It's pretty easy to pick up if you know the basic k/p.

**GypsyGirl** - love the quilt pieces. I am not very good at sewing but I love quilts. I wish I had a sewing machine that was good enough to do them, perhaps maybe I would be motivated to learn then.

I embroidered this Wee Wonderfuls pattern, I'm envisioning completing the set and using them on quilt. I've not embroidered or stitched for probably 20 years, it was really fun and I was surprised at how quickly the project went.
