I searched for other threads about this show and didn't find any.....Soooo, who's a fan of previous seasons? I only watched the FIRST season and I'll never forget this one scene in the basement that scared me sooo much ...  Even the music in the opening scares me, but in a good way!  I have a question about the season where they featured a mental asylum ...was it gorey? horrible? I didn't think I'd like that theme, so I never watched. The only person I know "IRL" who watches every season said she LOVED the Covenant ( I think it was called?) season...maybe I'll catch it someday.... This new season with the "FreakShow" theme....I am curious! And when I saw a pik of Kathy Bates as a bearded lady, it cracked me up! The actress (Sarah Paulson?)---I think she's been in every season----I don't know if I can handle seeing her with TWO HEADS... :shocked:but I am intrigued, so I'll probably record just the premiere ..... |

Asylum: was so good! Yes, a bit gory, & scary, but it's one of my favorites. I liked it better than the 1st season.
Covenant: Loved it as well, in a different way. Not as scary, but the acting & scenery were excellent!

I watched Season 1 & 2. I liked Asylum more than Murder House (but I did enjoy both!) Asylum was just extra-creepy to me, which I am thinking Freakshow is going to be as well. I am a little scared to watch. lol Creepy carnival themes freak me out. But I am definitely intrigued.

DH and I watch it. Murder House has been my favorite season so far. I also liked Coven. Asylum was too convoluted for us and we couldn't keep up so we didn't finish that season. I'm looking forward to Freak Show even though I hear it has a scary ass clown in it.

I've watched every episode! I think Coven was my favorite season so far. When rumors were going around about the new season I was hoping for a freak show/carnival story. I've been watching the interviews with the cast for this season which are really interesting. I'm looking forward to it.

I have watched every season so far, but ended up stopping Asylum about half way through. It was just so horrific and there were SO many story lines going on it was hard to keep up with.
We have some neighbors that we watch with weekly and have dinner together, but last year kind of fell apart with her new job so it was easy for me to stop watching. I keep thinking I'll finish up watching online maybe, but i was kind of freaked out.
I am terrified of this season, but am still going to try to watch. I have an unreal fear of clowns and I just don't know if I can stomach that creepy MF or not...

Asylum was the one that sucked me in! I liked Coven okay, but it was just meh, not too scary in my opinion. The 1st one was pretty good too, easy to keep track of all the storylines going one.
Freak Show looks fantastic. I hope I'm not disappointed.

I loved Asylum the most, Murder House the second and Coven third, based strictly on scare-ability. I love AHS, and can't wait for Wednesday. I think this theme might just top them all for scares. Coven made me fall in love with Fleetwood Mac all over again, and created a fan in my 21 year old daughter.

I can't wait for this season! I didn't think the last two were nearly as good as season 1. Normally they don't use the same characters in multiple seasons but this season Pepper from Asylum will be back.

I watched Coven. I tried watching Murder House and Asylum but they FREAKED me out. I will try Freak Show but we'll see.....

I've seen all the seasons and have enjoyed them all. I'm looking forward to Freak Show. The best part about this show in my opinion is it is a bit creepy and they like to freak people out.

I loved Murder House, Liked Coven, and never managed to get through Asylum...
I am really excited about Freak Show though, so I might have to finish Asylum this week just for the sake of it, before Freak Show starts.
I just found Asylum to be a bit..... icky as opposed to scary IYKWIM....
But it is always a pleasure to watch Jessica Lange, she got an Emmy for Murder House I think.

I have never watched any of the other seasons, but am interested in this Freak Show theme, so I already have the DVR set to record. I am thinking I may want to watch in the early evening instead of at night. LOL

I loved Asylum the best and felt Murder House was pretty good but I never finished Coven. It was too boring I guess. I'm looking forward to Freak Show this week. Can't wait to watch!
I totally think the next season should have a medical or hospital theme. |

I loved Murder House...classic haunted house story (with a twist!).
Asylum was okay, but I didn't find Coven scary or interesting.
Hopefully this season won't disappoint!

Cool random fact: my husband's cousin was a stand in for a few episodes of coven last year.  I watched every episode of murder house, was excited abiut asylum, but like others mentioned, it just got too wtf for me....I remember turning it off for good when that doc captured the sex addict girl who tried to escape, and he was telling her he was going to keep her there, and nobody would search for her since everyone thought she'd escaped. That bugged me on so many levels... I didnt even try to get into coven, even with my cousin in law in it. I want to try again with this season. |

I liked Season 1, and for me it's just been going off the rails since then. I like a good horror story, but the horror has to follow the story. It seems like they're writing the story around crazy horror and that makes it not all that great.
Not sure if I'll watch, I'm not a fan of circuses anyway.

Slightly off topic - Every time I see Jessica Lange, I think of when I met her IRL. I was working at the Nature Company and she came in and bought a rock tumbler for her kids. So now, even when she's being crazy or evil on the show, I think of her buying a rock tumbler and how nice she was IRL. It slightly ruins the show for me, but not enough to stop watching. |

Jediannie---how cool that you met her-- I am sooo looking forward to this....I think because it's something so DIFFERENT and UNIQUE for a change!!!  I've seen a few commercials for it, but there was one particular commercial that REALLY made it look good .....looking forward to seeing if that's true  |

I didn't see the first two season, but I loved last season's Coven. How do you top Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett together? There some great acting chops there. I have this season taping and plan on watching it with our DS who has seen every season and is also looking forward to this one. I'm in class on Wednesday nights, so I'll be watching Freak Show at a different time.
