It’s been a while since I used clear unmounted stamps. Of course, I break them out because I want to stamp something red. Now, they have a hint of red/pink after I washed with water, soap and water, and a wet wipe. They are still usable but you can definitely tell which ones were used in the new sets. Any magic cleaner out there or did I choose poorly starting with red and it is what it is now? One set is a new Kelly Purkey set and one is a CTMH kit from a few years ago—if that matters at all.

After using most inks, I just hit my stamps with a wet Absorber. If I’ve used a red or brown ink, I clean the stamp with Ulta Clean Stamp Cleaner, knowing that stamp will likely be permanently stained.

I don't bother cleaning stained stamps as long as all the ink is off. For nooks and crannies and red rubber I use HA Ultra Clean.

Some inks just stain.
I mostly use baby wipes, or a stamp scrubber with water.

I use an absorber. Red ink always stains my stamps. I don't mind because sometimes I find it easier for placement next time, and they usually stamp better after using them a few times, too.

Either baby wipes or an absorber. Very occasionally I use Stalin cleaner on very stained stamps but it’s not a good idea to use it regularly. Some inks stain more than others.

Microfibre cloth and homemade stamp cleaning solution (water, glycerine & baby shampoo) for me. Some inks stain; it's just a fact of life. Don't stress over it too much.

Usually water and a thick, small, microfiber cloth or Hero Arts/Stewart stamp cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Once in a while a Kirkland (Cosco) baby wipe, which I buy on Amazon. Staining Is normal, mostly happens with my yellows and reds.

I bought it at Michaels, the Recollections Stamp Cleaner Pad and Case. I use the Staz On Cleaner and spritz the pad with this. My stamps always come out clean.

I use most of the above mentioned but I also use Hero Arts cleaner, especially when I am using the same stamp in another color. It’s amazing what comes off using that even when I think the baby wipe cleaned it all up. I bought a big refill bottle of it from Joann awhile back. It may just be glycerin and water like someone above mentioned so that might be worth a try first.

I use water with dye ink and baby wipes with pigment. This goes way way back but I also use a small paint roller replacement pad. They were popular about 20 years ago and work really well since they’re like a super soft brush.
