OOOOH!!! This one would work for an out-and-out LIFT! Love the big circle and all the flowers. As I was lamenting at the crop last weekend as I ogled all the beautiful papers and accessories, sometimes I wish I had a "pretty life" so I could play with them all, and this sketch really makes me want to do "PRETTY"! If I can get my ddil or her girls to send me some Mothers' Day pic's, maybe I can do a page or two with flowers. But it has possibilities for action pages, too. Maybe I could change out the flowers for stars... Thanks, gramma . I hope you are enjoying your crop and that your mojo has come home to play.

grammadee I like this one. You could substitute hockey pucks or baseballs or puppies or almost anything for the flowers!! Or potatoes!! Didn't you say you were planting potatoes?? :-)

great sketch - I can see myself using this one more than once. Here's my first version though - just a one-page and simplified a bit

This is my take on the sketch. I used photos from Mother's Day today.

I was not going to cluster POTATOES, gramma! Used the first page of the sketch for this page for my 2020 family calendar. It is not the best photo of my youngest dgd, but it is a good one of her Mom, and the only one they sent me for Mothers' Day this year, so that is the photo that is going on the calendar. grammadee, That's a gorgeous calendar page. Everyone looks beautiful. Is that a feather whisping out under the flowers? Fabulous cluster whatever it is.

I thought AussieMeg's idea to use this for Mother's Day was spot on. However, I could not cluster digital flowers like her. You'll need to teach me to do that. I can do it with traditional supplies, but can't get the shadows right for groups of dimensional flowers digitally. So I went with a few less flowers and doilies. dMothersDay2019_1 by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr

Wow, that's gorgeous Lisa! And what are you talking about, your clusters are perfect! I bought a set of styles called Drop Shadow Styles from Snickerdoodle that makes drop shadows so easy. There are different ones for paper, wire, flat ribbon, curly ribbon, lace, stitching, buttons, foliage, flowers etc etc. Each one has 2 different angles, and there are 4 different flower styles, each with different depths. I think the idea is that you would use Flower 1 style for the bottom flower in the cluster, Flower 2 style for the next layer etc etc. I haven't played around with them yet, so I tend to use Flower 2 for each one. Do you use Styles? I've been using Photoshop for many years, but I only started using styles two months ago - I'm loving them! Edited to add the link to the styles pack: Drop Shadow Styles

Thanks, aussiemeg. Also thanks for the link. I do use styles quite a bit. I’ll check those out.
You mentioned those doilies on flickr, I think those doilies came from celeste knight’s hello love kit from many years ago.
