It's going on about 6 weeks now and I'm wondering when it will come. I know CA is slow but I think 6 weeks is about the longest it's ever taken me to get my refund.

We filed end of Jan and got it 5 days later. Eta: never been slow for us. Typical has always been 3 to 7 days. What does the site say as far as expected return? Mail or direct deposit? |

I will double check but pretty sure we got ours several weeks ago. We filed early April.

filed in April, and got the refund in about a week--maybe 2.

Filed in March and it took about 2.5 weeks to receive the state refund from CA.

DS got a refund this week and filed a month ago. I'm not sure if it was federal or state though.

Well, darn, I checked on the refund status online and it says Received, Processing, Issued and my refund was authorized on May 3rd. I just checked over my return and noticed that TurboTax did not fill in the banking information for an electronic deposit. It did for the Federal Return but I didn't notice the banking area was blank on the State Return. So, my refund is coming "old school". The website says 25 days to receive a refund check. Darn.

We always prefer a check and received ours to our new address out of state weeks ago. We didn't file until the second week in April, so I thought it came pretty quick. I would say it was less than 3 weeks from when we filed.

I mailed our CA return on March 12 and refund was deposited on March 25.

I'm jealous that you are getting a refund. Owning two houses (one is for sale) in CA with high property taxes meant that we got royally screwed on taxes this year.

Yes, it's a refund but I always pay an extra bit on my paycheck as a portion of my income is on a 1099 (I had essentially 3 different jobs--2 were salary position with paychecks and the other as an independent contractor). One year we under paid and since I have self-employed income on the return, you can be fined if you underpay 2 years in a row. Plus, it's a nice spring gift back to yourself.

I had a very small return this year, so I went old school and mailed it on 4/14. It showed up today in my checking account.
