UPDATE 10/18: So glad I didn't go through Stub Hub! My cousin tried to get into today's Bill's game and come t o find out, her tickets were invalid.
Dodged a bullet on that one!
Ticketmaster or Stub Hub? I'm looking to buy Bills tickets for my SO for his birthday and never having attended a pro football game, I am totally clueless. We get our college sports tickets from Ticketmaster and am wondering if there are any price differences.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
TIA!

Depends on where you want to sit and how much you want to pay for them. What I find and kind of ticks me off stubhub is supposed to be IF a person supposedly bought tickets and found they couldn't use them so they could resell them there, but now it's turned into a site for scalpers so what you tend to find is people buying mass tickets and reselling them on stubhub for a profit.
You could try ticket master first, or sometimes you can find good deals on ebay or craig's list. I would just figure out where you can sit and what the reg price of the tickets are so you know what you should be paying for them and then you can use your own judgement on whether you want to pay extra for those seats.

I would go directly to the ticket booth of the stadium to purchase tickets. They will be open during the week before the game.

padresfan619, I would so do that but the stadium is 3 hours away. We can do it when we want Syracuse tickets but I just live too far away from Buffalo. Great idea though!

definitely look at ticket master 1st so you get a good price and know its legit. Stub Hub is almost all scalpers now, they buy a ton and then mark them up. A concert I bought tix for recently cancelled all ticket sales because they saw 60% of the sales was coming from 1 credit card and they didnt feel that was right for the fans. I thought it was very cool they did that
Have fun at your game!

I'd call the Bills Tcket Office first and see if you can buy them over the phone for less than Ticketmaster. Not NFL tickets, but tickets we recently bought had no service fee if bought in person and $3 if bought over the phone directly from the venue. Ticketmaster was +25%. I bought in person, but if I'd bought over the phone the tickets would have been held at the Will Call window instead of mailed out.

I ended up each time at Stub Hub to get the seats I want. I bought the game tickets and parking pass from 2 different sellers on Stub Hub. I was able to print up the tickets right away.

bc2ca, I was able to buy them on-line right from Wilson Stadium with a $3 fee. Made me feel much better about my purchase. So ladies, this die-hard Dallas fan is going to her first ever NFL game to watch the Bills. Lord help me! Thanks for all the advice!

I see you already purchased, but for others interested too try NFL Ticket Exchange, it's the official place where NFL team season ticket holders can sell tickets for games they aren't attending. It's run by Ticketmaster, but approved by the NFL. More piece of mind that you aren't paying for fake tickets.

christine58, we're going to the Bills/Browns game on 11/30. It's a surprise for my SO who is a diehard Bills fan since growing up in the area. We are in section 330, row 3 which is the best I could get, even this far out.

I have always bought my nfl tickets through ticket master. We sit on the 50 yard line, 2-6 rows back from the field in San Diego on the Chiefs side Eta We always buy tickes in Aug when they are released for the season.

As a season ticket holder, I only use (when traveling to other stadiums) & highly recommend this site. You get the best seats available at a decent price.

Buy them through the NFL site for your team. The NFL goes through Ticket Master. You can get leftover team seats or season ticket holder seats that are "resellers" we have friends that have season tickets and that's how they sell their unused seats.

I didn't realize there was an issue with Stub Hub and fake tickets. I am glad this thread pointed it out.

styxgirl you are correct. But how disappointing to drive 2 hours and find out your tickets are no good.
