Their planned maintenance/upgrade started yesterday evening and is ongoing. The last update was early this morning on the Flickr blog and they give some info on the reasons for the site maintenance shutdown as well.
So far, our links to flickr photos seem to be showing up in the thread, although if you click on them you still get the panda. Hoping they get this whole thing up and running soon and that our links still work!
