I have had absolutely zero interest in these sprays ... until recently. I have seen a couple of posts on Instagram and they actually look pretty cool! But I have been known to buy stuff that looks cool and then never use it so I thought I'd ask here to see what the peas think.

Following. I too like to buy cool things and then just hoard them.

I have been avoiding these as well. Would love to hear if the results are significantly better than blending the oxide inks and spritzing with water, or using the package application technique with oxides.

Sprays are messy so I don't use them. I haven't investigated the oxide sprays and haven't seen anyone share anything using them, so I guess maybe they're not popular/popular with the mixed media crowd.
Wouldn't it just be some oxide re-inker mixed with water? Weren't there distress sprays that were just re-inker + water? I'd sooner buy re-inkers for the pads I have and concoct my own sprays I think. (Maybe they're something else though - like I say, I know nothing!)

Had Heidi Shine sprays forever....never used until yesterday!!! I have these and the Huey (I think that's what they are called) sprays that I have rarely used. That's why I thought I would ask here before going and purchasing a full set of the oxide sprays! The results with the oxides look like they're very different, but I've never had great results with mists so that's why I thought I would ask.

I've never used them either. I do have the HS ones but they haven't been used very much.
I don't know if I just don't like the mess I make or if I forget to use them. Or both.

I watched part of a video that Tim did on them and somehow I don't think that using the re-inker with water would give the same result as the ready-made spray. But I definitely agree with you about the sprays being messy... probably the reason that I hardly ever use the mists I already have. I should probably pull them out before investing in anything new, even if it is distress oxide (which I love). Then again, how much do you want to bet that before the weekend (or even day) is over, I will have a few ordered! LOL

While the backgrounds I have seen created with these are very nice, they do look like the Oxide ink pad results. The ink pads are harder to blend but you have more control and they stack easily. In short I did not give them too much attention because of the messy factor.

I have a few sprays but haven’t used the, that much. Definitely trying to resist any more!

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who finds sprays too messy. I did try the HS ones but half the time they didn’t spritz, they just came out in blobs. I’m pretty much done with ‘mists’.

I'm not interested. Like others mentioned I think they're too messy. I also prefer the look of inks blended with a sponge or a brush.

I use my mists frequently, but for splatters mainly. I've also used them for the packaging technique...but yes, an ink pad + water works fine for that too.
I haven't purchased any distress inks...yet...but I do have some "holes" in my mist colour family that I'd like to fill...but I love shimmer so I'm leaning towards a purchase from Shimmerz (don't have any of those either. That company might be a $$ black hole for me with their range of products and colours, so I've avoided so far)

I saw Glimmer mist at tuesday morning for 9.99 for a pack of 4. Back in the day I would have bought two! lol...that was before I decided sprays were not really for me.

I love oxide inks but would much rather buy the reinkers then the sprays.

On YouTube I follow Amy R from Prairie Paper and Ink. She has several videos showing how she uses the distress oxide sprays for card making.
