Try logging out and then back in again. It is still being WEIRD, letting me in, then saying I had to log in (I have been logged in automatically for years), then saying I had to change my password.
All that trouble one time, and then the next time everything was where it was supposed to be. But I think that is all getting the new platform operational.

I got a message that said "We’re back online
We just finished re-engineering Flickr’s underlying infrastructure. You may come across a few parts of the site that aren’t working perfectly, but we will be addressing them soon. You can always share your feedback with us on the Help Forum or at the Flickr Help Center."
Everything seems to be ok for me but I didn't try to upload or anything yet.
