AussieMeg I love the cool mixed media style textures in your pages. They're so artistic and painterly. (Without getting messy IRL - I love it!) I think either one would be a beautiful title page. I love the circles highlighting the focal points of the first photo. And the hexagons are just dreamy - like fragmented summer memories of childhood beach days. (I have a lot of beach day memories like that so I might be projecting!) Seasons in the sun speaks deeply to my Australasian upbringing

My last layout of the month ladies. I used the last 2 sheets of photo printer paper for this layout. Stocking up next month! My dd has Asperger's and after participating in pet therapy at our Children's hospital, we saw what a huge benefit pets were to her. She has been riding since she was 6, but the horse stays at the ranch. Having a fluffy, snuggly, little dog sitting on her lap at therapy just really helped. So with the help of my parents, we bought Sadie. She just turned 5 on the 15th, but this was last years birthday celebration layout. Anyways Sadie has done wonders for my dd. And seeing the benefit for our son, we adopted a shih Tzu that is his therapy dog. At some point Sadie will be trained as a medical alert dog. Right now our focus is on dd's health. Oh and I did 4 ever (Sandlot reference) as she turned 4 this day I love the paper layers and the little scalloped rainbow details at the bottom of the page, the frame to highlight one of the photos, and the 4. What a sweet doggie too so glad she helps your dd so much and that your son also has a special furry friend

I created a bunch of notecards for my shop in the past week or two (hope it's OK to include those as challenge items). My SIL likes flat notecards for casual notes so I made a couple of styles - one with a big floral stamp, and one with a Helen Dardik/Waffle Flower hand stamp. Both are trimmed down with a stitched die and then mounted on an Ella & Viv background just a hair bigger all around. The E&V papers have such lovely colors and a nice weight that gives the card just the right amount of body. I made 30 of the florals and 13 of the hands, but I think I'm going to make a bunch more hands when I get more E&V paper. Considering adding a tiny "just a quick note" sentiment under the pencil. What do you think? The other set is a "puns for all occasions" set that I had intended to make out of the 12 cut-apart 3x4 cards in Doodlebug's So Much Pun collection. I thought it would be really cute and pun lovers could have some versatile punny cards on hand for birthdays, get well notes, just to say hi, etc. The idea was to make a set I could restock easily if it was popular. I used some of the bigger scraps of patterned paper I had left from the 6x6 pad and for the most part I liked how they came out, even though I was running out of paper. You might notice though, there are only 11 cards. Before I came up with this idea I had used one of the cut-apart elements to make a birthday card and I had forgotten. DOH! So that was dumb. But I think I can still make a listing for this set, maybe as an "oops" set. I'm going to buy more of the cut-aparts and try again anyway. I need another 6x6 pad too (even though this collection's papers were not the easiest background to work with). I will be shopping before the month is out. I'm working on some other punny cards for my shop too. I really need more paper because I have so many die cuts leftover. Because they're "inventory" and I have to account for each one in $$ for the taxman I try to use all of the die cuts in a pack. So Doodlebug's 100 packs of die cuts keep me going for a long time, but I have trouble balancing how much paper I need. I spent some time yesterday organizing the leftover paper scraps and die cuts. I keep them in divided page protectors so each pocket represents a card I can make. http://instagram.com/p/BzOQW4MAFcc Thanks for looking. Sorry I end up writing so much >.< Also, I don't mean this to be an ad so please lmk if it's better to not mention the shop.

Love your cards, joblackford! The flat note cards are lovely, and make a wonderful gift to someone who likes to send out little notes. I love that there are two different styles: the soft florals and the artsy "hand writing". The punny cards are a hoot! I should have snapped up that Doodlebug collection: I like to create punny cards, but my pun spinner doesn't always work! Great idea to kit the sets of elements for your card making: that way once you have the paper you are ready to roll. I don't see any problem mentioning your store here. 2peas is no longer in the business of selling scrappy supplies, so I don't see any conflict in letting members know what might be available.

Thank you This is the second punny Doodlebug collection I've bought. I bought So Punny twice, I loved it so much for Valentines cards ("don't go bacon my heart... I couldn't if I fried!" bacon and eggs Valentines were VERY popular, lol). This one is So Much Pun, and it's more general - it really has a pun for almost every occasion. Both collections are still available at scrapbook.com, thank goodness. I just bought more. I made sure to get an extra cut-apart sheet with their pun dictionary page on it to hang on my pinboard. It has half a dozen puns for each of the icons in the collection, which is very handy. I usually check online and ask friends too - I've started printing my own sentiments when the chit chat dies don't have what I need. I resisted the puns for a long time, but a lot of people love them, and they've grown on me.

And here is yet another hexagon layout! I've done quite a few this month, and I still have a couple to go! And it wasn't even my challenge. This one is a photo of DD skiing in Japan earlier this year. I used a template from the 'Blended Shapes' collection by Miss Fish Templates, and the 'Winter Wonderland' kit by Just Because Studio. Points = 44

Yep, another hexagon layout! The background on this one was inspired by an ad for felt wall tiles that popped up on my Facebook feed the other day. (Hmmm, is this another case of Facebook spying on me? It must have known that June was Hexagon month haha!) I used the 'Live In Colour' kit by Just So Scrappy. I wasn't sure how to position the photo and embellishments on this bright busy background, until I saw kitbop 's "Inspired By KikiPea " layout on this thread. Thanks girls! This is the ad that was the initial inspiration: And this is my layout (better put on your sunglasses haha!): Points: 45

AussieMeg, I love all your takes on "Hexagon Month". I am not on fb, but I DO think that Pinterest is stalking me. So many ads popping up and often freakily like something I looked at somewhere else... But using the ads as inspiration? Golden!

I think this one is finished! I've been making pages to sprinkle though my book about the movies and TV shows I want to remember watching. I knew this one needed more than just the movie posters but besides the pattern I didn't really have anything so I just added another spending day to my month and bought an In A Creative Bubble digital stamp set with movie music and podcast icons and phrases. I have some other places where I'll use it too. I love digital for the ability to wait until you have a specific spot on your page where you know it's going to go and then instant gratification! Anyway, this is a bit more decorated than I usually do, but I tried turning off the extra layers and I think I like it better with more stuff than less

Cute card, justjac. Great colouring. Now that is targeted shopping ! joblackford I like that you are going to the movies on your own and then documenting the ones you have seen. Love the background info in the journaling and the clean look of your digi pages.

I love this photo of my now 14yo son when he was a gorgeous little 6 month old. How cute is he in his little Hawaiian shirt?! I had actually purchased a kit specifically to scrap this photo, but when I asked hop2 to select a kit at random for her Chance Challenge, I realised that the kit she chose would be even better for this photo - plus I got to meet my own Tequila Sunrise challenge as well. It is the 'Bula! Tropical' kit by Studio Digilicious. Points: 44

I need to go back through my PL photos and add some pics from the shows I'm currently watching. Thanks for the reminder! It's a great way to fill empty spots, and there are some weeks when I have hardly any photos.

This is the last (I promise!) layout using hexagons. I will be happy if I never see another hexagon...... well, at least until the next person sets a hexagon challenge! I used a 'Build a Background' template by Fiddle Dee Dee, the papers and some of the elements are from the 'Oh! Baby Girl' digital kit by Basic Grey, and the rest of the elements are from the 'Grace' kit by Ooh La La Scraps. Points: 41

I thought I was done, but then as I was cleaning up my scraproom I found a handful of teeny tiny blue star bling on my counter and remembered crystalb 's "My favorite things" challenge. I had already put the Disney fireworks photos with the fireworks paper into my Disney tub, but easy enough to pull those out with a few other bits, and grab a sheet of VB cs that worked with it all. Here is my page: Thanks for the Magic by Gramma Dee, on Flickr POINTS: one page created and shared (2). #3 Stars and stickers (2), #4 rectangular photos and #5 square page (2), #6 June photos (2), #7 vacation pic's (1). #16 sparkly stars (1), #20 outdoor pic's (1), #21 torn edges (1), #25 mish mashed title (1), 329 hearts and stars (2), #30 stars (5), teeny tiny bling (5), blue (5) and BONUS for doing this today (15). #32 three photos (3), #33 flat stickers (2), #69 brads (1). It was inspired by a Sketchy Saturday, using only the right side.
and Which was completed in duplicate one for each boy's album.

Ok I got some scrapping done last minute! Went to a crop last night, and I have a couple to finish up tonight before bed. Sorry the description of items used sucks....its either forgotten or just not available. Aren't we darling by Sandi D, on Flickr Little one by Sandi D, on Flickr Random hearts on the flags because something ended up on there that looks like grease...so did NOT want to take it apart! Does it look bad?

I've been working on these cards (for my shop) for a few days. Got them done! I will include multiple punny inside sentiments with each one - I hate to commit to only one possible use for a card. No prob-llama card: Spit happens sucker card: (for a dental hygienist? lol. Might need to add a SUCKER! sentiment as well although I can't imagine anyone sending that card!) I added clear nuvo spit drops because I have a weird sense of humor. Hey hot stuff card: (sorry the card isn't really in focus but hopefully you can see the details. This one has all the saucy puns. Hope you enjoy my terrible puns I tried a new skill - partial die cutting - to make the sentiments work. I had to stretch or contract some of the die cuts to fit the sentiments I'd typed up. I got to use my new font that I found out about from the boards. It goes pretty well with the Doodlebug stuff, I think. Thanks for a fun June! I'm looking forward to having a good look at all the stuff posted tonight
