grammadee Just checking to make sure but we can cumulate the 1 point for posting with 2 points (3 in total) for using or does the 1 point convert into 2 points if the photo is scrapped this month? Also, looking forward to all your vacay photos. Wishing you safe travels and loads of fun with the family 1 for each photo you share here PLUS 2 points when you use that pic on a project this month. So 3 points total possible per pic. That home is amazing! And great photos! I often struggle with interior spaces: they are either dark or washed out looking. Love the the action shots, AussieMeg! And the one of your comfy slippers!

That was my first try with Tapatalk. I saw these glasses last weekend and Gramma had to buy FIVE pair: one for each of the five little guys. First two delivered. They are a hit LOL.

Thank you all for the garden and house love sleepingbooty when we moved in the place was pretty barren - just a couple of rhododendrons, a lavender, 2 rosemary bushes, and a lot of weedy "lawn." I planted the flax because it's extremely hardy - it will grow in swamps, but it's also tolerant of drought, it didn't mind that the soil wasn't actually soil, and they're big and spectacular and available at the big box home store. Then I started on lavenders because they would also grow in rough conditions and even though the front garden faces north (shaded) it's very exposed and dry. That worked, so I planted more and more and more... My criteria for choosing is 1. I like it 2. it grows big and fast and 3. it doesn't die. lol. Most NZ plants can't handle the winter cold we get and they're finicky/not readily available here. We usually get drizzle for 10 months then almost total drought for 2 months a year, and I'm crap at watering. So I have a hodgepodge of hardy, mostly purple plants, and it works. Oh man, that art collector's house is unreal. Those windows and ceilings, and the details... it's all a bit much, but wow! Do you visit places like that often? AussieMeg you look very cozy! Has it been cold in Melbourne? I saw a Sydney friend complaining about horrible weather the other day. The football pictures made me smile - there's nothing quite like Aussie football gear - the sleeveless jerseys

KikiPea Happy (early) birthday! Is that ice cream inside your cake pop? The tennis ball vs tongue photo is cracking me up. Very Roland-Garros appropriate! Thanks! So, that’s an ice cream popsicle with Oreo cookie crust, dipped in dark chocolate with sprinkles! It was the birthday pop. 😋

AussieMeg you look very cozy! Has it been cold in Melbourne? I saw a Sydney friend complaining about horrible weather the other day. Yes, bloody freezing!! It's been between 12 (aargh!) and 15 for the last week. Although it was 18 and sunny today, and the same tomorrow, so that's a bit nicer.

What does GASC stand for? grammadee You figured out tapatalk it looks like you're having some grandson fun. Those glasses are very cool. I'm not surprised they were a hit. Looks like a rainy day where you are. We could use some of that here.

My friend in Darwin said it was freezing the other day when it was 22 degrees. That was the same temperature we had that day, but we're going towards summer, so I was celebrating the warm weather by wearing shorts! 12 is a pretty nippy though. Stay warm!

mom I love, love, love lilies! me too! All of my Lillies in my flowerbed have been transplanted from my Grannies house in Louisiana. They've been moved from home to home as I would move (over 4 homes they have been planted and moved from). They are finally at their final stop!

mom your lillies are gorgeous! Do you have a big garden? Not real big. I have a bigger flower bed in my back yard and I plant its full of things I love. I have several types of Lillies, three different roses, purple salvia, Geraniums, and anything else I drag home that is bright and colorful! No real rhyme or reason as to what I plant in there. Just whatever catches my eye.

Bday fun at GASC today! 😁 Happy Birthday! I keep telling myself that I will go to GASC on day. I need to make it happen! It's pretty good for shopping, and better for cropping, now that they have an all day option, but Scrapbook Expo in Irving is much better!

I dont think I knew they had one there! It used to be at the Gaylord in Grapevine, but they screwed up the reservation a couple years ago, and the Irving convention center picked it up. It’s much nicer! Send me a PM if you ever decide to go. I’d love to say hi! 😁

I worked from home on Thursday because the groomer was coming to give Boris a haircut. Doesn't he look handsome? If I miss an earlier train and there is more than 5 minutes before the next train arrives, I buy myself a coffee at the station. On Friday I asked the guys whether I could take a photo of them. They were very curious as to why I wanted to - I told them it is for my "Photo a Day" project but they still seemed confused. The young kid standing to the side is there every morning. He goes to a school a few train stops along, and he helps out every day with taking payment. If he's not there we all just put our own payment through on the EFTPOS machine. They're a trusting lot! Yesterday when I went to get petrol I bought myself an M&M Krispy Kreme donut. I've been eyeing them off for ages! It's winter here now and we had awful weather the first week. This weekend it has improved, just in time for the long weekend - it's been glorious! This is a photo I took when I walked the dog around the wetlands yesterday. And this is from my walk today around the little lake in the park near my house. It was lovely, until I took Boris off the lead and he ran down to the creek and rolled in dog poo. DS had a few mates over last night. This is a photo of The Lads, just hanging around outside.

Loving all the photos and the stories behind them! mom, your lilies are lovely. And the tale of their travel from your grandmother’s garden is sweet. I grow some pretty tasty veggies, but no one would trust me with flowers! I get the local greenhouse to pot some for me in a big patio pot each spring and hope to keep them alive until fall. Those ice cream treats look yummy, KikiPea. And I am glad you had a good pre birthday at the scrappy convention. I am always excited to see “what’s out there”, and the energy of creative people is contagious. Thanks for the glimpse into your daily life, AussieMeg. Your winter looks a lot more green than ours! And getting the guys to pose for a shot of your morning coffee place was cool. I am having a quiet cup of coffee in my timeshare living room waiting for the others to wake up. We have a welcome breakfast this morning, then we can pick up tickets to the theme parks. The little guys can hardly wait to hit the pool here at the resort, but the 3 year old kept asking last night, “When are we going to get to Florida?” So I think they also have other plans for how they want to spend the week. 😂
