I loved this page as soon as I saw it, and I really want to play with the layered diamond strip:  This Moment is Everything by Catrina Smith, on Flickr Now that kitbop threw that "Inspired by..." challenge in this months, it's a wonderful excuse to do this now. I have some photos of my dgd to scrap, and was first thinking I might use your PL style on a "traditional" page, dividing it off into blocks and scrapping each separately and putting lots of photos on the one page, but I kept coming back to this page in the Gallery, so I will select one of the photos and try to lift this one instead. Who knows? I might do the block thing on the facing page... |

What a great page grammadee, I love your take on it. I know what you mean about that pesky scrapping gnome, he make me chuck stuff on all the white spaces, even though I love the look of white spaces. Don't forget to claim a point for eachl of those diamonds! |

Love it grammadee! That page took me like 3 hours to complete because I cut all of those silly diamonds by hand. I realized afterwards that I probably have a die that I could use. |

Those diamonds were the CHALLENGING part of my lift! I fussy cut a few until I found one I liked and then used that one to trace the others so I could fussy cut them. Trimmed a couple of edges off to get the smaller size, and then used the smaller one as a template. |

I loved so much about this layout: the diamonds and the little cut out animals on the smaller diamonds. The one circular element. The scattering of smaller elements. It helped me SO MUCH when I tackled the sketch this week - I kept the border and 2 photos and title placement from the sketch, and otherwise letI catseatcheese 's page guide me on. It was even the inspiration for the animals, which I realized I could use to symbolize my dd's hair!!!  layout dance hair struggles by kirstendrew, on Flickr |
