I did not take any classes this time. I went just for the shopping. My car was getting some repairs done, and GASC was close enough that the dealership drove me over. I shopped while my car was being serviced, which was a definite win for me.
There seemed to be fewer vendors this year, although I still spent way too much.
The Tim Holtz/Sizzix/Stamper's Anonymous booth had people watching the demos, but I didn't see that many doing actual shopping. It was not Tim Holtz, but another guy doing demos, perhaps his partner. The demo was fairly crowded, as usual, but they had it placed well so it did not impede other shoppers, which I appreciated.
There was at least another vendor or two selling Sizzix dies. They did not seem to be selling well, but I was not really watching, either.
Dies that went with stamps seemed to sell better than just the decorative dies.
There were still a number of the usual big name vendors that always come: Paper Wizard, Heartfelt Creations, Queen & Co., Kiwi Lane, Pinecone Press, Stamping Station, and Tessler Crafts. A vendor for Close to My Heart, for Stampin' Up, and for Creative Memories were there. There was a booth devoted to planners and dressing them up. Spellbinder products were there, but not the bigger Spellbinder vendor that came in the past. Perhaps they attended the Scrapbook Expo and not GASC. I missed the Expo, and I think that is the best convention here, although I could be wrong. I haven't been since 2017 to the Expo.
I saw a lot of dies (though not as many as in the past), stamps, and page kits. Stamping and card making are still popular, and there were some very cute and fun card samples, which of course led to my spending more than I thought I would.
I got some good deals, too. A die that I have been hunting for was there, and I got to use the early bird coupon to buy it for 50% off. I got a free stamp set and a free paper pad from Heartfelt Creations, and a free stamp set from Art Gone Wild, as well as other freebies and discounts.
If you went to GASC (Great American Scrapbook Convention), what did you think? Were you happy you went? I came home with some definite treasures!
