I figure there's not - but thought I'd ask anyway. Any LSS in Manhattan or any other super-cool craft type store I should go to while I'm there?

The Ink Pad is awesome! I went there back in 2009 and it was so full of fun things.

So you don't get too excited -- The Ink Pad is only about 15 ft x 30 ft. It is jam-packed with stuff though. They have some metal dies and lots of stamps. There stuff tends to be on trend.
They have a very small paper selection. Most of what they have is 6x6 pads.
If you are anywhere near it, it is worth a stop. Just don't go expecting a large store, because it definitely isn't.
This place www.mjtrim.com/ is interesting if you like ribbon and lace.
There was a place, Beads on 5th, that had a lot of beads and sequins. I just googled them and they just recently closed. There are other bead stores in their area -- Beads on 5th was on 5th avenue between 35 and 36th streets. I don't know any particular stores or even exactly where they are. I used to just go to Beads on 5th and then wander a little.

Not a traditional LSS but I've heard great things about Tinsel Trading Co on Lexington in Manhattan. Lots of embellies, ribbons, trims, etc...

The garment district (West 30's) is a fun area to shop for trimmings. Kate's Paperie has a SoHo store - it's not at all a LSS, but they have gorgeous papers and stationery. Lee's Art Shop on 57th near Seventh Ave. also has fun art supplies and a small scrapbook section.
If you're a stamper, the Ink Pad is a must, even though it's barely bigger than a shoebox!

The Ink Pad is on my bucket list almost because it is so small! Still considering if TinselT is my style. Watching this thread.

Tinsel Trading Co. is one of my favorite NYC stops, it used to be on like 37thish street, between 5th and 6th avenue, but I think I read somewhere that they moved. They have all kinds of crafty stuff, and a lot of metallic threads. I just like their window displays. I also like Kate's Paperie in Soho but that is more a stationary or greeting card store, but they have cute things.

Another vote for The Ink Pad!! I go there every time I visit NYC and I'm never disappointed. There is a lot of product packed into a space about the size of my bedroom and I always find something that I don't have.
Lee's Art Shop is a good stop as well. I like art supply stores because they have items that you won't find in big box stores.

There are some Dick Blick art stores in NY.
www.dickblick.com/stores/newyork/
I've never been to one though. I saw a guy carrying a big Dick Blick bag one day and decided I have to visit one of their stores one day. Haven't done it yet.

I adore Tinsel Trading Co! Have not been to the Ink Pad yet, which is just wrong, since I live so close to the city.
