I was rooting for the Raptors - until their fans applauded and cheered when Durant went down with his Achilles injury. That was disgusting.

Just like most of us Canadians don't judge most Americans because of the imbecile you have as president please don't judge us all by a few jerks. In fact I think most Canadians and Raptors players wanted Durant to be ok and able to play. It certainly is exciting though "We the North"

It really was disgusting, but I did appreciate the Raptors players waving their hands trying to get the crowd to knock it off. Drake was annoying. But I was never pulling for Toronto anyway. I am really happy for you Raptor’s fans, and can say with sincerity congratulations Danny Green! (though he had a really untimely turnover late. I wanted them to lose but not at his hands) ~ bitter Spurs fan

I felt like I was a watching a football game - those last few seconds lasted for hours, lol!!! It's been an exciting couple of days of championships - a bunch of Canadians won Lord Stanley's trophy for an American city and a bunch of Americans won the Larry O'Brien trophy for a Canadian city.

Now that you mention it...I hadn’t thought of it that way. That’s pretty funny!

That was the longest .9 seconds ever!!!!! Funny thing, DS can't stand watching baseball or football because the action is so slow, but he loves watching hockey and basketball so between the two we have watched a lot more sports TV than usual the last couple weeks. I can't imagine how hard it was for the Raptors players to wait to celebrate knowing they had possession. Great series but I'm glad they won in 6.

It was a great series. Kawhi Leonard is amazing.
I can't stand Kevin Durant, but I was sick when he went down. That was classless of the Raptors fans to cheer, but most of them stopped when Serge Ibaka motioned for them to cut it out. (Ibaka and Durant were teammates on the OKC Thunder). I think the fans just got caught up in the moment and hopefully regret it now.

there are classless people everywhere - not right to judge everyone by that. i was shocked to see warriors fan sucker punched from behind after the last game here in toronto. so were 99.9% of other fans. true grace was how raptors super-fan handled racist tweet after 4th game in last series. BUT last night was pretty epic. first basketball game i have watched from start to finish that my kid was not playing in. great vibe in the city and heard people hollering for hours last night! at one point, one guy yelling periodically "let's go RAH-P-TORS".... was the last one left. i was like, okay, dude, it's over, time to go home and sleep it off.

I didn’t watch the game but I saw a clip on Instagram of Drake after the win saying they were bringing the chips but he needs chips and dip? 😳 Signed, officially old and decidedly un-hip. 🤪

The stuff with the Raptors happens a lot of other places. So that's not new to sports. Doesn't make it right that there are a few jerks,.. I thought it was a little wierd that he came running back into the tunnel after being carried back.Even though he had to shoot the FT's. Despite the injuries I don't think the Warriors won. They just weren't shooting.Or rebounding. The Raptors had the heat on them pretty good. They played their best out. It was still impressive. I see the trash talk on social media, I am not surprised by the Warriors fans responses either. So take it for whatever team. It was a good series. Espeecially since many thought it would be the Raptors that would have been done Congratulations to the Raptors!

SO amazing! I caved at 12:30 and went to bed but DS and DH stayed up until 2:30 watching interviews and highlights.
I was disgusted at the the fans who cheered when KD went down. And I know quite a few Canadians have since made donations to KDs charity as a gesture of apology. I was sad to see it happen, and sad to see Klay go down. Injuries like theirs can end a career and I hope they are both on the mend and we will see them back in action as soon as they are able. I will say people seem to forget that a few Warriors fans cheered when Kawhi went down during their game in 2016. Doesn't make it right though.
Still sad that my favourite player was traded for Kawhi, but man oh man did that trade ever work out!!

Still sad that my favourite player was traded for Kawhi, but man oh man did that trade ever work out!! Didn’t work out so so well for us Do you think he’ll stay since y’all won? When he was traded he wasn’t long for Toronto, chances were super high it was just a pit stop to where he really wanted to go (tri-state area or LA). As to this cheering for an injury to the other team happening a lot? I have easily been to over 200 Spurs’ home games, watched 5 times that number on TV, heck I probably listened to a couple dozen when I couldn’t watch. Even traveled to many away games. No, it really doesn’t happen frequently and needs to be called out when it does happen, every time, no matter how small a percentage of the crowd it was. And no, it wasn’t just “a few jerks.” So I’m so glad to see the bolded, I think that is awesome thank you for sharing!
