First of all, you have my sympathy. Allergies have made me miserable for huge chunks of my adult life. Over the years we made many environmental changes and I made some dietary changes that really helped me. However, with this year's super bloom, and a trip to beautiful British Columbia (fantastic!!) last week, I am really suffering.
I often get symptoms that are very much like the worst head cold + worst chest cold you've ever had. I've been miserable since Sunday evening, our last night in B.C. with our ds, and then traveling home took 16 hours with a 2.5 car ride, 3 flights and a 4 hour layover. Severe headache, sore throat, lost my voice, itchy eyes, very congested sinuses and chest.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD THESE AS A SYMPTOM OF ALLERGIES?: 1. Chills and sweats -- I know that sounds like more than allergies, but I know pollen made me sick. 2. Really bad body odor -- it feels like tons of toxins are trying to exit my body.
I hope you're all feeling much better than I am! We are hosting a party for my husband's students tomorrow, and I may have to hideout in our bedroom if I feel like this.

Grass pollen is very high here and I am ready to claw my eyelids off from the intense itching. I've always been sensitive, but it's only gotten worse as I've gotten older. Miserable!

I’m right there with you. Allergy shots have helped me but I still get some symptoms.
Good luck

Thanks @legacy Girl and lesmcf. Have either of you had the weird symptoms I mentioned?

None of those symptoms. The sweats/chills and body order make me think 1. Illness and 2. Thyroid issues
I am on Flonase, Zyrtec, and Azelastine.
I am doing quite well. I was off the meds for 8 days for stinging insect testing and came down with bronchitis due to an allergic asthma reaction. But when I am on the meds, I do very well.

I would get the head cold/ chest symptoms. The shots have stopped that. Hot/cold symptoms could be allergies or old age! Can’t say about the body oder but it is vaguely familiar but didn’t associate it with allergies.
I get real itchy skin and eyes. I get terrible lip issues, swollen and chapped and mouth ulcers. Still trying to figure that out.
I have no doubt that your symptoms are allergy related. They can make you feel crazy on bad days.
Good luck.

There is more pollen this year than I ever remember and we are having so much trouble with allergies. It finally seems to be decreasing where I live, but for a month I was hosing down the patio furniture and cars daily.
I don’t get those symptoms from allergies but I do get the chills and sweats at night from the lexapro I take. Are you taking any other meds that might be causing that?
