Oh no LisaDV - all your plans gone awry! The weather forecast here is sticky and hot with 40% chance of thunderstorms, so that bodes well for scrapbook time. However, DH is making plans with family friends for Sunday which could take away that day. And DD has a BIG ballet exam Saturday, and I promised we'd make sushi for supper afterwards which will take some shopping/prep. But taste good  |

Oh man! LisaDV I'm sorry you had a wrench thrown into your weekend plans. Sounds like you have a solid plan B, I'm glad you will still be able to get some crafting in! I threw a wrench into my own since I didn't get around to getting my photos printed, but I have so many prints that I should be ok lol. I'm going to be working on some unfinished projects this weekend. They are piling up and really starting to bug me. I have to work today but my evening is free and I'm looking forward to this! |

I picked up a small photo order on my way home from work today and spent some time scrapping tonight. I’ve got a page half done on my desk which I hope to finish in the morning.

joyfulnana , I hope you aren't too tired from work to create this evening. Chinagirl828 , good job getting started! The Crafting and Chatting has started!! Woo Hoo! Last night was the coolest my bedroom has been all week and DH got here last night so the whole family is together and I slept like a log! Hopefully that will sustain me over the next several days so I can craft. I prepped a lot of card bases over this week, but now need to find sentiments and embellishments for them. My real goal for the weekend was to get DD's birthday layouts complete. So I'll definitely be working on that as well.

I still have six graduation layouts on my desk that need final embellishments.
And a stack of other layouts that are in progress.

First I have to finish WORK. You know cause bills gotta be paid. Lol
Then I plan to craft craft craft & not leave the house except if the dog needs to potty. Though I’m tempted to go to the container store because there’s a few things I want to see ( also close to TM ) but I’m thinking it might be too hot to bother. It’s brutally humid here.
Oh yeah, first I have some cleaning to do my desk is so cluttered I can’t find the pictures I want to scrap. I started cleaning last night.

LavenderLayoutLady , I think you should jump right in, not just dip.  You definitely have a lot set up to get completed. Just a bit of time, and you can knock some of those out. hop2 , I have asked my bills to pay themselves and they never do. Sorry you have to finish work first. I vote for craft craft craft and no stores. I just made and did a partial clean up of breakfast for my tribe. We rarely eat breakfast together, so that was really nice.
However, I got another wrench thrown at me for today. I knew DH's plans changed earlier this week, but did I think about the fact that I had only packed medicine for DD for 1 week, which means she's out after today!!! Nope. I had to call the pharmacy we use up here. They still have 8 pills for her thyroid medicine, but her new medicine was transfer to the new house pharmacy. I left a message for the DR. to see if she can just call in a few tabs to get us through the weekend. This means I have to go to town today. I'm 45 minutes from town one way here. The good news is I think I'll stop by that local scrapbook store.  I'm off to get ready so when the DR calls back I can run to town, and then I will start some card stuff until I leave.

LisaDV, definitely reward yourself with a trip to the scrapbook store today. Like many others, I am hibernating inside this weekend. First up on the agenda is finishing the cards on the dining room table. It's just assembly and packaging so it shouldn't take too long. Off I go ..............

LisaDV You're a busy lady! Definitely stop into your lss. I'm about to go try to jazz up a few grad layouts and hopefully put them away. I had actually hoped that my ACOT preorder would have shipped and been delivered already, but no luck there.

I couldn't focus on graduation layouts, but I did rubber stamp and fussy cut embellishments for my other teen's school trip. I still need to add journaling and small embellishments, like enamel dots.
I'm taking a coffee break, then going to see what I can do with the grad pages. They are mostly finished, but need the small embellishments.

Why do I have several going at once? I seem to need to let them sit on my table a while as I walk by and move things around. I have one finished and a couple that are near completion. I am waiting for my husband to finish work and I have a feeling that he will need something at Home Depot. We seem to spend a lot of time there lately. LOL

Alright! Ready to start my scrapping weekend! So my dd17 just got home from oral surgery (just TWO wisdom teeth, lucky girl)....and she is snoozing away. She was very entertaining! Got her some soup/meds on board, rinsed her mouth. Went to the early set up last night and got my station set up. Just bringing a couple extra goodies and my water/stuff today, and my own chair. Now to wait for DH to get back from running to get a sammie....and I'm out. Wrote out directions for him...and phone number for the on call nurse. Sigh.... I'm still a little anxious, but I can't shake it...it's a mom thing I guess! Stand by for the LO shares! Have a good weekend all! LisaDV, I'm sorry your plans changed...but sounds like they may be still good! Did you say movie marathon? Responsibility free? Sign me up! Enjoy! |

I’m having a hard time keeping focused at work and lots of hours left lol. LisaDV you should totally stop at the LSS. But shopping is my go to activity when my day gets messed up lol. Man, I just want to get off work and scrap. |

Yay for stamping, LavenderLayoutLady ! nylene , I wish I had the room for multiple card layouts. I'm stuck on one right now and decided to walk away for a while. 2marbles, enjoy your crop. Your dd is in good hands. I did finish all the cards on my dining room table and added 16 cards to my inventory. Then I ventured into my craft room and excavated through the layers on my table and did manage to find the top of it, putting things away as I went. During the dig, I did find a partially completed card design so I brought that into my dining room to assemble and package tonight. Do you ever find projects you thought you had finished? I would have sworn all these cards were done. I did start a new design. It will be the first new one for Cards for Soldiers. Hopefully, I'll get a picture of the design up tomorrow, as soon as I work through my color dilemma mentioned above. I did bring some die cut elements out to Copic color this evening. The dogs and I went out for a short walk. It's brutal out there. This morning was overcast but now it's sun and blue skies. And heat and humidity. Starting to think about an easy dinner. Maybe stir fried (cauliflower) rice and icy cold watermelon for dessert. |

freeatlast, I am sure walking away and taking a 2nd look with solve your dilemma. Wow, 16 cards. That is so great. I need to make 12 for Card Club next week and I haven't settled on the design. 2marbles, your DD will be fine and it will be good for your DH to watch over her. I hope you have a wonderful time at the crop and that you accomplish a lot. LavenderLayoutLady, my layouts often sit for several days as I decide why I don't like them. Sometimes I start over and sometimes the answer will come quickly. It's nice to know I am not the only one who can't complete a layout in just a few minutes like the YouTube ladies do! joyfulnana, I think I hear your scraproom calling to you. Oh, I'm sorry, that was mean! Have fun scrapping after work.

Just checking in. Sorry I won’t get a chance to play this weekend. Ended up in the hospital for a couple of days this week. Nothing earth shattering, but although I am home today, I am focussing on rest and recovery b/c dd and family will be here tomorrow. And of course I am 3 days behind in getting prepped for that.
Too funny, but dgs called Grampa to tell him he had better clean the house for me before I came home. He is so excited to be here that he wants me rested and ready to PLAY.

I finished 3 cards before the dr. called. Yay! Now, I’m finally home from my town run. I did hit the lss, DH sent his eyeglasses with me to take to the eye doctor (the lens keeps popping out), picked up medicine and then took the long way home to stop by the dam. DH & kids were there. DS is collecting quite the collection of crawfish. They will go in my etouffee tomorrow. DD came home with me. It was too hot for her and she was getting sick. freeatlast, it’s good to hibernate in this heat. Your stir fry and watermelon sound delicious. If DH doesn’t do a campfire and hot dogs, we’re getting pizza for dinner. But DD said if we’re getting pizza we should do a family show. We usually struggle with family shows. DS & DD can never agree on anything, but we currently have 2 TV shows and 3 possible movies. msliz, I hope you will join us on Sunday. It’s hard to make time in the summer when you just want to enjoy family time. LavenderLayoutLady, I haven’t done preorders in quite some time, but I remember the last time I did, ACOT got their stuff way after SB.com. I hope it ships soon. nylene, I remember when we first moved to the farm we lived at home depot. The kids would balk every time we drove by one they were so sick of it. Lol. I hope you don’t have to stay too long there. 2marbles, She’s going to be fine, go have fun! I recommend responsibility free time to all moms!! joyfulnana, you should be closer to quitting time now. I hope DH did clean the house for you. hop2, Oh, I need to clean my desk top. I’ve lost my pen styled glue pen before I left for errands. I just switched to a different styled one. Then, I totally forgot I was just going to buy another one at the lss. I’ll link a photo from my phone of my stamp purchases. I created cards with a purple-ish 6x6 pad by Bo Bunny, so I also purchased flowers and enamel dots in purple. |

I got asked about double points for purchases this weekend on another thread, and sadly I did not word the challenge in a way that includes doubling the dollars. But we can count the actual dollars we spend this weekend for sure. grammadee !!! I thought maybe your garden weeds got a hold of you this week or you were busy preparing for dd & family. Is it your gall bladder again? I hope DH did clean the house for you. Who knows? They told me that this time my liver enzymes were normal and I had no signs of an infection, so different from my last attack. My sessions always start with pain, move on to a sluggish or stopped gut, then more pain, nausea and upchucking. They try various things to help, but in the end what I need is IV fluids, nothing by mouth, and a shot of morphine with gravol. Once they kill the pain and nausea and I rest for awhile, everything seems to relax and I am good to go. The kids are going to have to live with the messy house. Dh was busy building a sandbox to spec and doing stuff outside. |
