Darkangel, how about a few of these for different groups of toys, lego, playmobile, animals. Too late for my one now but it would have made tiding up when she was finished a lot easier.

Dark- you could always make reusable paper towels with your fabric. They are huge in all my fb craft groups.

darkangel090260 That fabric would be nice as a crib set, cushion covers for a baby's room, small totes to hold bits and pieces for kids. The bags for Lego etc., that Wellway linked are a great idea too. I've seen something similar and they really do make dealing with Lego and things like that a lot easier. It would make great reusable 'unpaper' towels as well which seem to be very popular in the US at the moment! It's going to keep you busy, that's for sure!! NoWomanNoCry I had to search to find out what 'reusable paper towels' were and it was quite fascinating to see how they could made to fit on a paper towel holder. It's a really neat idea.......I've bookmarked a couple of tutorials for making them for when I have time to look at them properly! It's after midnight here now so time for bed!!

I got a deal at joanns today I got simplicity patters for .99 each. So I pick up 11 of them. I am now cutting out a bunch of bags To start sewing later. I wish I could just hire someone to cut patterns out for me. This is the part I really dislike about sewing.
Kids are sleeping and I am working on a half pot of coffee.
hope everyone had a great day!!

darkangel090260 Yes, I agree on the pattern cutting out thing!! That was a great deal on the Simplicity patterns! Enjoy your sewing, don't work too hard. NoWomanNoCry Think I might just be able to sew those judging by the tutorials, I'm not the greatest sewer in the world either!! 9.25am here, had coffee and am now heading out for most of the day.

Got 2 bags cut out and one almost done. I should never put on netflix when working. takes me even longer. Now if I had a small shelf about where i do my sewing then I could see what was going on.

It's 9.58pm right now in New Zealand. I'm working on my September video for my 1 second everyday project. I'm losing interest but I've been plugging away at it all year, so I just want to get to the end of the year. My life is super boring. It's hard to come up with 365 different activities or things to shoot in a year. I was really motivated at the start of year, but it's at a point that even I don't want to watch 365 seconds of my life lol. I don't believe anyone else would either.

It's early evening here in Tokyo. We've been on typhoon alert all day as it's supposed to hit tonight or tomorrow morning. Right now though we just have rain. Kids have been off school for a national holiday so I've been sewing and supervising a playdate.

I'm going to do a day's work for a friend straight afterwards and she usually greets me with tea and Tunnocks Tea cakes so I think that'll do

Do hope it all turns out much better than expected.....Japan is getting a dickens of a battering weatherwise recently! Stay safe! Sounds as though the playdate is keeping the kids busy What are you sewing?

Kokeshi doll: please stay safe and check in when you can please. Thanks! It's still just raining hard outside, but it's supposed to hit during the night. Hopefully it'll lose power as it moves closer to Tokyo. It's better than an earthquake though! I'm making bags tonight also. In fact I seem to be making them all the time. I've given some away, but they sen to be multiplying. I should really do a craft fair and sell them. I've been having fun with all the cute Japanese fabric I can buy here! I agree with you though Darkangel. Cutting out the fabric, lining, batting and/or interfacing is the most time consuming part of the whole process. The actual sewing doesn't really take that long since I usually use the same few patterns and I don't have to refer to the instructions anymore.

6 am in NYC. my cat has woken me up, as he does every morning, for a romantic interlude of head butting and face licking. I get to hiding under the covers from his amorous advances.

Nearly 9p.m here in Tokyo. Luckily the typhoon had run out of steam by the time it reached the city on Sunday evening. Even the deck chairs in my yard didn't move! Its been a rainy day here and apart from a quick Starbucks run this morning, I've been hanging out at home. The rest of the week should be sunny though I'll probably be doing the same thing as Dark Angel tonight - sewing bags and watching Netflix!!
