Shameless exploitation of a child when her grammy has too much flamingo scrapbook stuff. I saw this outfit on sale at Cracker Barrell of all places and I had to have it, and another one. Then I had her pose for me and she didn't disappoint.

So cute, myboysnme! Not shameless at all to dress her up in scrapbook worthy outfits! Can't wait to see how you scrap this!

This thread has been very helpful in helping me to remember to take a photo every day for my P365. I don't really mind if I miss a day here or there, which I usually do every month, because often I take two or more photos one day and might miss a few days here and there. But this is a good reminder. So just catching up.... (Sorry for bombarding you!) Wednesday last week I took my son and two nephews to see Spiderman. We always go to this cinema, even though it costs more, because all of the seats are recliners. On Friday DD and I went out for lunch. I had a Captain America burger. These are a couple of photos from the football last Friday night: On Saturday I went and got an eye test (long overdue) at my SIL's optometry business. DD works there part time while she is at uni. I hate wearing glasses, and I find it very difficult to find a pair that I like don't hate. Apparently I have a pin head and most glasses look huge on me (which is why my current pair is from the kids range). I must have tried on about 30 pairs, and finally decided on these ones:
And DD working: The paintings on the wall behind DD in the photo above were done by SIL's aunty. I'm sure there is a name for this particular type of painting - it is torn or cut up bits of paper and fabric stuck down to make a picture. She does some really beautiful work, and these ones are so fun and quirky. There are holes cut into the canvas so you can put glasses on all the people - how great is this for an optometry business?!?! Here are some close ups:

And some more! Sunday night's dinner - burrito bowls courtesy of DD: I park at my dad's house every morning because he lives across the road from the train station. On Monday morning I got there and my brother was there doing the garden. I always know when my brother had been there, because when I get back to my car at night, I find my windscreen wipers up, and my side mirrors pushed in - the annoying turd!! Once every 2 weeks or so I take a photo of the progress of this building just opposite the station where I get off for work in the city. I can't wait to see it when construction has finished.
DD came into the city with my on Tuesday, because she had to go and get a blood test (required for immunisation for her next uni placement at the cancer hospital). (Ugh, hideous phots of both of us haha!) In the city: DD after getting her wisdom teeth out on Wednesday: And this last one, from last night, is a sad one. This is my brother's dog. He has had a lot of health issues right from the start, and it's finally got to be too much. He has lived a few years longer than the vet originally said. Today my SIL is taking him in to be put to sleep. In fact she will be there right now. We all went over last night so say our farewells.

I’m going to photobomb now. DH and I have a soda addiction. I finally gave up Dt Coke, and when I started drinking soda again I went with Pepsi with real sugar, figuring it’s better than HFCS or cancer causing fake sugar. I go up and down on consumption. DH still does dt coke. I found a new to me soda that uses Stevia and got some to try and told dh he was switching. He said he’d just quit. That’s fine too. So I had tried one and had the rest of the pack 5 cans on the island. I ran errands earlier this week and came back to this. The grill. DS being very proud of his hilarious self. My bathroom for the next clue. Under the bed and one can as a prize. DD helping me look. She’s only an inch talker than me and was jumping to see the tops of the cabinets where she finally caught a glimpse of them. I had to get the step stool and use a tool to get them.

My latest arrivals. Most excited by the grinder and pasta attachments. The new grill master!! He’s really taken over the grilling.

Time to play along in this thread! I'm sure I'll get to 31 puppy pictures before the end of the month. Today's puppy portrait of Phyllis: Pétra a few days ago (it's blurry but I love it dearly): Paw-paws on the bed: Palma on the 1st of July (she is now being fostered by another fam'): My poor mama exhausted when she was caring for the entire litter in early July (not blurring because I doubt she's very recognisable from this photo ): A little view from the garden which has turned into a giant 3D scratch and sniff card for the pups:

Straight out of bed lol. Then we grow up and need coffee....😕 This was during a crazy storm with 60mph winds. That grass is usually standing up. I wish I could get good shots it the rain itself.

joyfulnana Aww, how cute is that straight-out-of-bed colouring photo! The energy of kiddos baffles me nowadays and I'm only in my thirties. We have 120km/h or 75m/h gusts of wind during autumn and winter here so I know how disorienting and forceful it is. Every time I turn a corner around the big city buildings, I brace myself to not be blown away à la Mary Poppins when we're having a super windy day. Still pet and housesitting my mother's home while she's away on a little break with my stepfather. The bidet continues to amaze the pups (don't mind the very 1970s pink bidet - my mother is desperately trying to convince my stepdad to update the bathrooms). I collected apricots from the apricot tree before they all fall to the ground and start rotting away in this heat to make some Christmas jam with four-spice blend. I wonder if that'll fit into the Christmas in July challenges we have going? I'll need to check! I took a few pots, some apricots and a few roses to give away to friends we met for the "14 juillet" (Bastille Day) and remember to snap a photo as we were just out the front door because front door steps are totally the perfect setting for food photos.

Am I not understanding something here? That's funny, gramma . One or two or three in a package, I never seem to get the correct blade for the trimmer I have. Why would all those similar cutters have different blades?

DH and I have a soda addiction. I finally gave up Dt Coke, and when I started drinking soda again I went with Pepsi with real sugar, figuring it’s better than HFCS or cancer causing fake sugar. I go up and down on consumption. We have struggles too. Well...I *had* a struggle with diet Pepsi, but gave it up 100% about 6 years ago, and wanted to get away from the chemical desperately. So I switched to fizzy water (like bubly, or store-brand, entirely unsweetened). The "cracking" open of the can and the fizz turned out to satisfy me. DH and one of my kids also like it, so that's a win. DH has an ongoing battle with Coke/Pepsi. He is addicted to both the caffeine and the sugar. When he goes "off" for a couple of weeks, he is hard to live with I keep telling him to buy caffeine pills from the drug store so that we can deal with 1 addiction at a time!! LOVING THE PHOTOS! Puppies, pools, scrapping, wisdom teeth - so much fun, so much life!

I have a lot of camping photos to share! But first, a silly face and my broken tennis racket - sad to see my baby go! I always assumed when I saw broken rackets in the garbage at the courts that some jerk had lost his temper and hit something...nope. Apparently the composite frames can just "snap"! We went straight out and bought me a new one Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr On the way home from camping. Stopped for ice cream, and hit the road. We were packed full with 6 people, and the roof rack was full too! Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Ah, Lake Huron. We walk over these dunes from our campsite to get to the "beach". by kirstendrew, on Flickr DD being cute Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Rope swing in the Old Ausable Channel Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Paddle boarding on the Old Ausable. Last picture of DS in glasses. He fell off the board (I recommended he kneel because at his height it's so easy to fall...but he didn't listen...and glasses are gone.) Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Wildlife photos: Skink (so so cool) Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Bluegill (all that was being caught) Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Raccoon stealing another person's loaf of bread (bait) at the dock. My nephew decided to let him have it. We captioned this photo, "so we cool here bro?" Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Io Moth DD found it, obviously just come out of it's cocoon and starting to expand it's wings. Once they expanded - WOW! But these gorgeous moths - they VIBRATE and HEAVILY pee on you when they get mad. Just sayin'!!! Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr More to come
