Argh!
This morning was perfect. I should've known.
We got up and went to the farmers market and then to lunch. Came home and walked in and the little a-hole dog had peed on my dining room rug. I cleaned it up, moved the table and drug the rug outside to clean it and as I was getting the rug cleaner out a pile of crap that dh left by the garage steps fell over. I deflected the folding table with my foot just about the time dh came outside to ask me why I was so pissed off that I would throw things. Seriously.
I resisted the urge to storm to my office and write him a gift certificate so he could choose something nice to go eff himself with (although, I'm saving that one for later) and instead glared at him and continued out of the garage.
I wasn't hooking the cleaner up right so he followed me to try to help until I put the cleaner away, put the rug by the curb and went inside where I found that while the rug pee'er was peeing, apparently zeus was throwing a frat party and crushed a shell mobile that we brought back from hawaii.
We NEVER have behavior issues from them and today everyone has lost their minds. Knowing him he moved the table with his tail and it broke when it fell, it wasn't malicious but it didn't make my day any better.
I moved the table to scrub the floor and dropped a chair on my foot, turned around and busted my knee on the hutch, tripped going down the stairs and knocked over the air purifier with a gallon of water in it....onto the couch.
So, the couch has been scrubbed and wet vacuumed, the slipcovers are in the wash and I'm overjoyed that I get to iron them again (it's been 3 days afterall) , the living room and kitchen floors are scrubbed, the dogs and husband are silent and fearing for their lives after I threatened to send all of them to the basement for eternity, the rug is by the road, and the dining room set is for sale on facebook because I'm over how it doesn't fit the space and it really hurt my dang knee.
I apologized to him and told him that I was having a tantrum and to go do something in the garage until I'm done being mad at the world so he's happily doing whatever he does out there and I'm debating between taking myself to a movie or just going to bed.
This is clearly not the day for me to be unpacking.
Oh, and my farmers market flowers are almost dead, I broke two picture frames and a mirror, the sunroof on my car broke, and my childhood home was torn down in the last 2 days.
I know mercury is in retrograde, but damn.
How is your saturday? Yes, I feel better. 😆😆
(You can laugh at this. I'm almost ready. It's a bad hour, not a bad life and all that. )

Man, that all sucks.
Sorry about the dog piss mess, the busted knee, the slipcover needing ironing again, and everything in between.
Tomorrow will be better?

That is a bad day. I laughed so hard at your gift certificate idea though. That's golden.

That is a no good very bad day. You deserve a margarita served to you in bed. Might want to preprint the gift certificate for the next occasion because he's bound to be a jack ass some other day too and it's good an idea you want to pass up.

The only thing to do with a day like that is to write a script and make a movie. Forgive me for laughing but I just cracked up.

Whew.
That helped. He is out there putting shelves together and dropped a bracket when I walked past the door so I opened it and yelled "youknowthatwouldbesomucheasierifyouwouldjuststopthrowingthings" and then I couldn't help but to laugh because it was such a toddler move.
He told me to go have a glass of sangria before my head spins in circles and I explode into a million pieces.
Romance y'all. Thank you for being a place I can vent. I'm definitely working on the gift certificate so I have it ready, it's happening.

OUCH!!!! That is one rotten day! It would make a great comedy routine! Toddler move or no, he deserved that comment and totally love the GC idea!
Nice dinner out sounds good.

Oh, I feel for you Steph, I really do. It's as if you're thinking, "what else can possible go wrong today" and then of course, something else does. And keeps happening. Time for a long soak in a bubble bath, a margarita and whatever else you want for tonight and tomorrow too.
I have to admit though, your flair for writing made reading this very funny to read. While my heart went out to you I cracked up about the gift certificate and Mars being in retrograde.
Wishing you a much better, all good, super fantastic rest of the weekend!

Sorry your day has been a suck fest.
However, I think you may be onto something with those gift certificates. Maybe a new revenue stream for you. I bet a great many Peas, myself included, would love to purchase one of those.
We are moving today as well. DH and DS are acting like they are the only ones that busted their ass today.
DD asked if she could go to a funeral with her girlfriend for moral support. It was at 10am and they still aren't back yet. She texted me at 3 and said they had just finished and were stopping to get a bite to eat before coming home. I have sent her a couple of texts since because I needed her to stop at the store to pick up an ingredient I need to make dinner. Radio silence so I said to hell with it and had DH order pizza.

Isn’t it crazy how some days are like this? It just becomes a half comedic litany running in your head.
Moving is hard. I’m sorry it’s being so hard on the doggies. Last time I moved, our dog walked right into the middle of the dining room and peed! And he never did that, we were shocked. But it all adjusted.
You humans will have to adjust to the smaller space. That can be quite an adjustment. I’m sorry, is there ice on that knee?
As usual, you use humor to get through tough times, and do not blame others.

Your day sounds like an episode of I Love Lucy! . Crawl into bed, pull up the covers and don’t get out until this day is over.

For me the straw that would break the camel's back would be the dead flowers. I have stopped buying them at our little weekly neighborhood market because of exactly this.
Hope the rest of your evening is much better and go buy yourself some real flowers or a plant tomorrow!

This beautiful asshole pulled the rug out of the trash can and is power washing it with animal pee enzyme stuff because if he messes it up it's still better than trashed. I must've been mad if I didn't even bother to put it out for someone to claim.

The worst part is I KNOW that I'll just keep attracting shenanigans but I'm like 'eh, let me just instigate this a little more before I start acting like an adult again. " We are all just ready to just have things where they'll be and to be settled again. One of was going to meltdown and it's usually better if its me. He's not nearly as dramatic. I skipped the ice pack and just opted for a cold bath. We've refinished a couple of pieces of furniture and moved nearly every piece in the house twice this week so I'm bruised everywhere. I just ran a cold bath and made hot tea. First hissy fit at the new house ✔ It might be all that I accomplished but its going to have to be good enough.

Well you can't just write an intriguing into like this (you were all shaking your heads and covered in blood?!) and not tell us what the heck happened. Are you all okay? Do you work in an ER?

We don't work in the ER but do work in a hospital and there was a trauma of sorts. I should have just stayed quiet, I'm sorry! Just don't want to give any identifying details, HIPAA and whatnot :/
