Are they worth it or just a pain in the ass?

The liner just blew around in mine and smoked up.

They do help with sticking, but it is hard to toss the contents of the basket without the liner moving around. I have them and use them, but not always

I've never heard of this. My air fryer has a removable insert in the bottom of the basket that has holes to allow any grease to drip through, similar to a broiler pan. The basket and insert are non-stick, so no issues with sticking. It's very easy to clean and I can't see how paper would improve it.

I can’t see a need for them in mine. But it might depend what you one you had, I guess. It’s a Ninja that has a non stick coating, and is so easy to clean - I think paper might not make a difference.

I'm glad someone asked this because I just ordered one and was wondering the same thing.

I’ve never used paper liners in my Air fryer. Unless it is cut smaller than the insert, I would imagine it would get blown around. The only things I could imagine them being helpful for would be if you were making something like fried chicken from scratch with a wet coating. But, I really don’t use mine that way often, so wouldn’t buy them.

I wish the mesh lining of our basket came out, that would make it about 1000x easier to clean, we could probably even stick that part in the dishwasher. I've never used paper liners but it seems like they would be more of a pain than it's worth.

I also put the bigger solid basket that has to be in there no matter which other accessories you use, in the dishwasher. The only thing that doesn’t go in the dishwasher is the base unit with the electronics.

It has a weird plastic handle and seams that water would get trapped in. Also it's really big, it would probably take up at least half of the bottom of the dishwasher.

The liners dont fly around- the food weighs them down I put a pound of chicken tenders on mine and the fan flipped the tenders right off the liner.

Ninja Air Fryer, 1550-Watt Programmable Base for Air Frying, Roasting, Reheating & Dehydrating with 4-Quart Ceramic Coated Basket (AF101), Black/Gray www.amazon.com/dp/B07FDJMC9Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_BLlnDbV5S3KME I don’t have any basis for comparison, but we’ve been happy with it. The photo shows the removable basket type thing but not the actual nonstick insert I’m talking about.

This is how mine is, and I find it easy to clean, but Amazon recommended the liners on something I was looking at and I was wondering if anyone really used them.
