I totally lost a day. I went all through yesterday thinking it was Saturday. Here’s what I had to justify in order to think that:
1. I watched Big Little Lies. I know it comes on Sunday but I thought ‘oh, isn’t that nice...it’s on Saturday this week’ 2. I watched Grantchester and thought the same thing 3. My amazon account said I had a package coming ‘tomorrow’ and I knew it was due on Monday. I thought ‘well, isn’t that nice that it’s coming a day early’ 4. when I woke up early this morning to people in the neighborhood leaving for work, I thought ‘why in the fuckety-fuck is everyone leaving at 7:30 a.m. on a Sunday?
golly, it’s fun being me

What is shocking to me is the level of denial and acceptance I just automatically assumed. Scary, in fact.

I have lost the entire summer. First with going back to Montana so many times. And then lost a week in the hospital and now with “resting”. My husband is back in Montana, and I am watching deep space nine.

I feel you. I thought it was Sunday today and missed my son’s dr appointment that I had to book three weeks in advance. I’m so annoyed with myself. I even looked at the calendar and it just didn’t register.

That's funny. Since I retired, I have to make an effort to know the date.
Being out of my routine used to throw me off on the days of the week, especially those Monday holidays. I'd be confused all week.

It's completely thrown me this week because school has finished.

I’ve been there too. There will be times I get through the entire day thinking it’s a different day and then I’ll look at my upcoming calendar items (which are now coming up sooner than I thought) and think, “Huh. Whatever happened to xxxday?” My excuse is that I work from home and set my own schedule, so pretty much every day is just like every other day.

Hubby lost a month this weekend. He thought it was August and wanted to go back and try to find a newer loaf of bread as the freshness by date was July 22. It confused me for a minute and I asked him what he thought the date meant. Then I realized he was mixed up on the month we were in.

My time is really measure by garbage pick up day. It is always the start of my new week. Missing a garbage day throws me off.

As a teacher on summer break, I sometimes have to actually do math in my head to figure out what day it is...
