My employer states that they drug test (but not for THC) for employment. In reality, they do not.

it is not that common in canada and has to be tied to safety sensitive workplaces. i have heard that it can be be common for many employers in the US which does seem weird - like i need a drug test to be a cashier?

We only test our home delivery drivers in NY. That may be a state regulation or because of our insurance.
