Just came across my Instagram feed. Makes me sad - Cat’s Eyes and Magenta stamps taught me I could be artistic without being able to draw.

sorry for the dumb question but are you talking about clear snap, as in the storage containers?

Clearsnap the ink company. Those rainbow palettes in the shape of a flower with each color as a petal is another one of their more well known products.

But Magenta isn’t closing, right?

That just sucks and is so sad. ClearSnap was so lovely. It breaks my heart to see they are closing. I wish them the best and success in their new endeavors. I will miss them. That is the end of an era. I think that leaves us only three ink companies now that are making our inks.

What’s the third one after Ranger and Stewart Superior?

What’s the third one after Ranger and Stewart Superior? Tsukineko & Imagine
I have been wondering about this too. Clearsnap is owned by Stampin Up. What will happen to Stampin Up inks? I know SU is in a lawsuit with Misti. They took the Sizzix out of their catalog. We were all thinking about the lawsuits and cutting ties. I am wondering if SU might be having some issues. I know the SU owner has health issues. Maybe, they are just cutting back on companies they own due to that.

Tsukineko is the Japanese parent company, Imagine is their representative in the Americas. Imagine has also developed some of their own products. (I was on their Artist in Residence DT for two years--great company!)

The stamp market is coming out with inkpads and inks. Look it the cover ,it says colorbox premium ink. Maybe they bought them out Maybe they just bought the formula. That would be nice. Thanks for sharing!

I started out stamping 23 years ago with them! Thank you for the fond memories of using their petal ink pads an other products.

Thanks for sharing! This wouldn't surprise me - after all, if they're closing up shop it's an attractive asset to sell (the formula and/or brand).

I wonder what Catherine Pooler will do since her ink pads were made by Clear Snap? Looks like a lot of companies will be looking for a new supplier.
