Did you notice the afgan on the back of the couch at the victum's home. It was colorful patches separated by black rows and columns.
Do you know what the pattern could be?

It is a granny square pattern. They used a pattern for a smaller block, maybe only 5 rows? Would have to see it closer, again. You could use almost any granny squre pattern, just make sure to use black for the last two rows of each block. Great way to use up bits of yarn for the colorful insides.
(I was not going to watch the blasted show again, but I did, and I was able to sleep.)

They don't look like granny squares to me, although i'm not quite sure what they are. Granny squares are usually have a little more gap to them than this appears to have.

Loving the show! dd and I are both hooked. You are right, not granny square. I think I saw granny square on another show, like maybe Big Bang. It does look like some type of stained glass pattern, with the black edging. Maybe a shell type stitch or pop corn center? |

I was thinking a popcorn stitch too. I am working on something similar and you do it in strips then crochet them together. I am changing colors then doing the rows so they can be diagonal strips instead of same color rows. Very easy style though. The pattern I am using is by Red Heart called Color Block throw I believe. I think you could use the pattern for the popcorn squares.

Thank you for the screen shot! Love it! That afghan is so pretty , I started obsessing over it ,waiting for the next time they would show it. Yes I mean I was stalking the afghan lol.
