nylene, have fun at the reunion!! I'm getting ready for my sister's visit over the weekend. The electrician was here and got everything on the list completed. Yay! I cleaned. Then DS was getting his class stuff ready for the new year. I put off registering my kids for this years high school (online private school) so I could hang on to my $$ as long as possible. I registered them last week. DD has 3 classes that DS has already had, so I didn't have to buy books. Yay! She starts Tuesday. Realized yesterday that those needed books are still at the farm 3 hours drive (without stops) one way. So last night DS got some drive time in which means a 3 hour drive is a 4 hour drive. We went grabbed the books and a few other things and drove home. He drove until 2am, when he had to turn over the wheel to me. We got home at 4am and I couldn't go to bed from having caffeine until 5am. I gave up caffeine several weeks ago. Unfortunately I couldn't sleep past 8:30. I may nap today. Off to finish up some chores that didn't get finished yesterday and to have another caffeined soda. I'll quit again tomorrow.

Hope the family reunion is a wonderful time, nylene! I can hear the little ones giggling in the river and the kiddy pool! And didn't you say they set up a huge DIY slip n slide down the river hill? Enough photo op's to keep you scrapping all year! LisaDV, I hope you have a great time with your family visiting, too. I can't imagine that round trip even with the hits of caffeine! Wow. Hope you get some rest later. I am seeing you like one of those cartoon characters vibrating through the day... Long weekend here in Canada too, but we retired people don't really get much of a change in routine. All of the "kids" are busy with their activities and won't be coming to the farm. Dh is still haying with his nephew: probably the latest in the year they have ever done that. I need to pull some stuff out of the garden. The cooler weather scares me. Don't want to have tomatoes or other veggies freeze before I can pick them. Hoping to harvest some tomorrow. Haven't checked the corn for a few days, but hoping we will have some fresh to eat. Today, I am heading into town to meet with a car salesman. Dd wants to buy my vehicle, so I am looking at options for a new one. Probably another Explorer, but have not looked at any of them since I bought mine about 5 years ago. Just a note: some of us are signed up for a Happy Birthday Club through a 2peas PM chat group. We have 9 returning members, but could invite up to 6 more to join. Essentially, every member of the club makes and sends a bd card for each of the other members, much like we did the Pokey Christmas Card exchange. Would anyone like to join us? nylene? maribeth? kellyr21? joyfulnana? patin? Linda? msliz? Anyone else I missed? If you are interested in the Happy Birthday club, please PM me...

Good Morning ladies! Holy wow where did this month go? I can't believe tomorrow is Sept 1st! I really hate how fast the time goes now. nylene have fun!!! It sounds like it's going to be a great time! I'm curious about the rockets though lol. I'm glad you are feeling up to going after that bout with the flu. kellyr21 that card you made for Nylene is BEAUTIFUL!!! It looks like it would be hard to make too. You are really so talented and creative! LisaDV hearing you talk about MI, and the lake just makes me miss that area so much. I really loved it there. For a long time Utah was my favorite place I had lived and I do love those mountains, but man there is something about Lake Michigan and the small towns around there. Yay! for the pool! And double yay for windows open! That's my favorite thing about spring and fall I think. Having windows open and fresh air. It's getting cooler here slowly but still too humid (for me anyway lol) so the A/C stays on for now. Happy belated birthday to you DS! And congrats on a new driver lol. Neither me nor my kids got our licenses until we were 18. That round trip to the farm for books didn't sound real fun though. Enjoy your visitors!! I hope it's a perfect weekend for a pool party! grammadee I hope you are able to get the most of your harvest. The summer season hasn't been that long this year, not for you for sure, or Lisa. And it didn't get as hot here as it usually does. It will be interesting to see what kind of winter we have this year. A new car sounds fun! I love the getting of one, and the picking it out, but not all the haggling over price lol. Good luck with that! Work is finally slowing down and I'm so so happy and relieved about that! Maybe I won't be too tired mentally to scrap on a weeknight once in awhile. My knitting is coming along when I've made time for it. So in my own slow procratinate it to death style, the stocking I started in April will probably be finished in time for Christmas. Like barely in time, the 24th lol. That's alright as long as it gets finished lol. I haven't done a lot of scrapping really even though I've been to a couple crops. Lots of pages started, none finished. I still have the same two layouts ready for Sketchember. My niece and I are going to crop tomorrow afternoon together online and I'm looking forward to that. Next month when I'm with mom I will show her how to get added to the video group so we can all scrap together with no one having to drive an hour or more. That's going to be perfect for this winter. Well I guess I will do a little cleaning and run a couple of errands before Rudy descends for the night lol. And get my points (the few I have) tallied. I have some photos to get posted to the challenge thread too. I've been such a slacker the past couple weeks lol. Oh LisaDV ! How did you like The Boys? Crazy there at the end, and I guess they are in post production on season 2 so we shouldn't have to wait too long! The handmaids tale is good, but it really is disturbing too. Especially as a woman. But I tend to be the type of person that will keep watching a show until I completely lose interest. Well, except for Grey's Anatomy. I lost interest in that years ago but I've still seen every season so it's my "obligation" tv now. I keep thinking it has to end soon right?? lol. Have an awesome long weekend everyone!!

Stay safe, Linda. I hear that Dorian is moving further north than expected. Does that mean it may be worse than predicted before in your area? Glad your dd got home from college without incident even if it took a long time. Love all your pages. Are you enjoying getting back into scrapping? joyfulnana, scrapping with friends/family while you are in your own home sounds like the best of both worlds. Hope you have fun scrapping with your niece. Today I finished some pages I had had sitting on my counter for a couple of days waiting for inspiration. I have my sample made for the first day of Sketchtember tomorrow. Will post it later this evening. I also need to set up all the September challenge and team threads. May do those in Word and then just copy & paste into the threads to speed things up later.

grammadee - I have no idea what Dorian is doing - the forecasts have been all over the place. I'm far enough inland that we usually only get lots of rain and TS winds at most. Thank you - yes, glad to be back to scrapping after a longer than usual hiatus but the summer was just too busy to scrap. joyfulnana - your family online crop sounds lovely LisaDV - you've been busy busy as always. Good luck to your DS finishing up his driving hours. DD19 still doesn't have her license - she's had her learners since she turned 15 but...I can't remember the last time she actually got behind the wheel - it's easily been a year. Hi to everyone else - I'm sorry for being such a slacker on the thread this month.
