If they are moving out or into a dorm, when are they moving? Either way, when do they start classes?
DS's dorm move in day is August 30th and his classes start September 4th (I think)

He moves in Aug 22nd. He chose the last possible date which at first I thought was odd but now I’m glad about. I’m struggling as it gets closer and closer. Super excited for him but sad that this part of our life is coming to an end.

Dd’s school is move in for freshman 8/10 (can begin, don’t have to) and classes start 8/19. There are a bunch of things planned that week for them. My dd3 is going to be a junior and she has a house. She lives there full time and has an internship/job in her field this summer.

Oldest is already in his apartment but classes start the 26th. Youngest leaves for good a week from Tuesday (the 13th) and he has Fish Camp for a week and then moves in the 18th. His classes start the 26th. Because of Fish Camp and how far we are, he won't be coming back home before moving into his dorm

He's taking some in his car but then his dad is taking the rest on the 17th. DH and I had planned on hauling all his stuff for him but then his dad got mad because we also got to 'move in' DS1 last year. So he wants to do it. Okay. Have fun with that. Its gonna be hot as hell and a million people moving in at the same time. I am kinda sad that I wont be there but DS2 is really 'no frills no fuss' about things. Drop his crap and wave bye is all he wants. DH and I will go down mid-September for a football game and see him then.

DS moves in on August 30, and classes start on Sept. 4.
We'll fly in Aug. 29 and DH and I fly home Sept. 3. It won't take too long to move him in, so hopefully we'll have some time to be able to sightsee- possibly the Hamptons or Upstate.

With my DD, I was so excited for her and all the opportunities in front of her. With him, I know this is the end of something big for us. Sigh. I hope he has a wonderful experience and grows into an amazing man.

The oldest has been in his apartment since May. He had a summer contract with an engineering firm and he’s thrilled that they offered him more contract work for the school year with any hours he wants to work. He was thrilled about that and real money vs a fast food job! He starts grad school the week after Labor Day and his new roommate moves in then. He got his class schedule this week and is pleased with his classes.
DD leaves for Ireland on the 25th for her semester abroad. She’s excited about seeing old friends in London and then in Ireland. By the time she’s done there, we will be in Belgium and she will join us there. She will go back to school mid January to get over the jet lag. As a now international student, she is able to get an apartment if one is available and stay on campus during breaks and just go to the grandparents for a few days.
Good luck to all the newbie empty nesters! It’s such a interesting time. Sad, happy, and such a big deal for the students!

DD moves in on 8/16 but classes don't start until after Labor Day. She's going early for job training.

Freshman 1 moves in Aug 21 and classes start the 26th. Freshman 2 moves in Aug 31 and classes start Sept 9--they have a week of orientation and advising.
Senior classes start Aug 26 and she'll move in a day or two before. She just got home from an 8-month stint in NYC, so I get the whole family together for about 2 weeks.

DD left this afternoon. Sniff sniff. She works for student housing and has 2 weeks of training before students move in and classes start.
DS leaves next Saturday. My nest will be empty and my heart heavy.

DS is at home one more year. He took courses all summer. He has finals for those 3 classes this week. Fall classes start the 19th. Next year, he’ll transfer to finish off his last two years.

DS is staying in the same off campus apartment, so he doesn’t have a move-in date though I believe his new roommate is moving in 8/13. His classes start 8/19 as do mine. 😭

Will Drive out August 6th...move in is August 7th and classes start August 21st. He is an athlete which is why he has to go back so early. But honestly move in is much easier since there are fewer kids moving in at that time.
Son will be a sophomore. Hard to believe.
DD graduates in December but she stays in that State all year and has since sophomore year.

We're getting DD home on Saturday (she's been in NY---all the way across the country---working for the summer). She'll be home for a couple of weeks before heading to school as classes start just after Labor Day. She's moving into a house which we've been paying rent on since May, so she can move in anytime. We've been paying rent since May on her new house, so she can move in any time.
