r to clean??
Some cucumber molded in my favorite container. The container with the cucumber was in the fridge for around 12 to 16 days and has visible mold. I emptied the container and washed with hot water and a scrub brush but wonder if I should spray some bleach and let it sit then rinse and put in the dishwasher. IS it safe to use bleach like this (verses the food-safe type sanitizer)?

I wouldn’t hesitate to do exactly that.

I have used bleach on Tupperware and Rubbermaid.

Sure. Bleach (very diluted) is one way to sanitize drinking water. When we lived on base in Korea, all of our clothes were so faded because of the bleachy water. DH has a separate set of ABU uniform tees for when he deploys for the same reason.

Yes you can soak it with some bleach in the water then put it in the top rack of the dishwasher. If there is a lingering smell of bleach in the plastic, you can put a couple of table spoons of lemon juice in the bottom of it and rub it into the plastic with a paper towel.

I've bleached tupperware (and other plastic containers) to remove stains. Makes it look nice again. I also use cleanser, like Comet, on my ceramic coffee cups when they become stained from coffee.

Also try using a paste of baking soda and water then rub on the stain

I used to use comet on my tupperware when it got "sticky" from being in the humid climate we lived in. Just be sure to get it rinsed out good. No harm. That was in the 60's and I still have some of those pieces today.
