We went on a large extended family vacation recently. I took about 600 pictures during the week on my cell phone that I would like to share with family members. I need to know where to do this at. People would probably like the option to order hard copies as well as download to their phones/computers (some people digital scrap and some people paper scrap).
I thought about Dropbox but after it taking no less than 3 days to upload 3 videos I’m wary of that. Shutterfly is fine for prints, but I don’t think you can download at full resolution from their site. I tried to use my Pixieset site but it won’t let me upload cell images.
I would love any and all recommendations! Thanks!

Maybe Google Photos? My DD shares photos of our grands that way.

You could upload all the photos to your computer, then burn them on cd's or flash drive. Then give the cd or flash drive to each person that wants one. They can use that to upload the photos to their computer and get them printed wherever they want.

We are a Mac family so we set up a shared album in Photos and invite the others to join it. It’s been seamless for us. If most are not Mac users, then I agree with using Fliker

We haven't had to share that many, but we always start a FB group just for photos when we take vacations together. I am sure that they aren't uploaded full resolution, but that is an option.

Do you have an iPhone? You can share an album. Maybe android phones do that also?

Why on earth didn’t I think of this before!?!? I have done this with my parents a couple of times! 😂 I think Flickr might be a good back up.

But I know with one in law she will not stick a cd or flash drive into their computer. She says that it’s too old, and they make it run too slow. ☹️

Maybe Google Photos? My DD shares photos of our grands that way. I don’t think I have enough room in my acct. 😔 Set up another gmail account! You can store up to 15GB in an account for free. Or you can also upload to Google Photos free storage, you are restricted to 16-megapixel images and 1080p videos - anything bigger will be downscaled to those sizes. Also note that even if you upload an image that's 16-megapixels or less, Google will not retain your original photos. Google Photos saves pictures as a high-quality compressed jpg that's "near-visually identical but takes lot less storage." That's fine for almost everyone, except serious photographers. So you would probably be fine! I also find the $9.99 a month for a terabyte of storage more than worth it. I have a couple 100,000 photos uploaded. I like knowing where they are and that they are easy to search. Also Smugmug is another option to look into.

I would share on FB - you can set the privacy of an album to specific people or to just me (and then share the link via email - anyone with the link can see the photos even if they aren't FB users)

How do you do this? Also, how do I lock the privacy on it? You start a group under the Explore tab (on a desktop it is on the left side of the screen, not sure on your phone though), click on Groups, the Create a Group. You name your group there, and can choose who to invite, and the privacy settings (we always do Secret, so that only those that get invited can find it). Super easy!

If you share on fb you will lose quality if they are downloaded. Just an fyi from experience.

I had thousands of photos in Google photos before I got close to the limit and started paying. I regularly share vacation photos (1000 isn't out of the ordinary) with family and no one else has a paid account. Apple doesn't let non apple people access shared things so that is why even the apple people in our family use Google photos to share.

I use Shutterfly. You can create a Share Site and then people can take the photos you upload (and can organize them!!!) and order their own stuff.

My daughter set up a Shutterfly Share Site when my granddaughter was born. It was perfect.
