Summer is winding down up here in the northern hemisphere and kids are heading back to school. Winter is skulking away from the southern hemisphere, but summer has not quite made an appearance. One hemisphere or the other, we will share about an equal time of light and dark as per the equinox. Either way, hopefully there will be time to do some scrapping!
And nothing gets the creative ideas flowing like a good sketch. Unless it is a sample project made from that sketch... And maybe a nudge to use a particular supply or colour or technique or... And other crafty people to play with...
And So. We. Have. SKETCHTEMBER! Every day in September a host will present a sketch with a sample and a twist. If you are a September TEAM member, you will be able to earn points for your team for completing a project based on the sketch &/or the twist (and a BONUS for doing both on one project). If you create something with all 30 sketches, there will be added bonus points for your team!
If you choose not to be on a team, you are still welcome to create based on the Sketchtember promps, and share your work in the Sketchtember daily threads. A huge part of the fun is seeing what everyone else is creating!
So you have been warned (errr alerted) about fun scrappy times ahead. Gather your supplies, print or organize your photos, clear off a space to play, and stock up on scrappy snacks (cuz who has time to shop for snacks while they are crafting all month?).
Remember: SKETCHTEMBER is coming...

Yay! I loved doing this last year and hope to start scrapping again in September. Life has thrown me a few hurdles, but I'm hoping those are past and I can get back into scrapping. This will be perfect to motivate me! Thanks for doing this grammadee and all the hosts! |

I *really* am looking forward to a hugely creative month and I hope lots of others will join in the fun! I find it so easy to start with a sketch I feel like I'm cheating!

I'm hoping I will have enough time and motivation to complete all the sketches again this year. I loved participating last year, and honestly, I wish it was already Sept!

I won't be able to do all the sketches in September but I will keep them and eventually get them all done! And I'm excited already for the ones I will be attacking in September and I haven't even seen any of the sketches..  |
