I have two friends with pacemakers. Urgent Care isn't equipped to take care of the majority of cardiology issues and they will always send you to ER instead, since of course, they are equipped. My friends stopped going to Urgent Care for anything like an earache because Urgent Care will always send them to ER because they both have pacemakers. UC wants to be on the cautious side, even with something simple as an earache, because of a existing heart issue. That is their stance. I can understand that. I bet this is the same type of protocol with Tracie.
I grew up around a lot of heart patients. This is just an opinion and observation. Pacemakers and heart problems tend to be more numerous in the holidays. I just remembered my local news was covering about heart problems/holidays this week. The doctors called it holiday heart syndrome.
I do hope she is OK and this is not one of her con sob stories again. Pacemakers are amazing devices now and most of the scary stuff is fixable. I know it's stressful and it's super scary. Luckily, it's not as life threatening like it was thirty years ago.

Where did she say that? I've been scouring lol... I didn't do much digging. I don't know where that came from. Maybe it's like the secret reviews of the WRMK typewriter. No talking or sharing.

In a recent, IG story post, she stated the peacemaker only kicks in 11% of her life. So what was all her fuss about when she had the maker replaced and scooped up all that dough? Remember all that oh me oh my drama?

Remember all that oh me oh my drama? She had a new pacemaker implanted to replace the old one that was expiring. It is a very painful procedure. This new heart condition is allegedly unrelated to the pacemaker. In her Insta story she wrote that she’s to stay away from anything stressful and so she doesn’t want to talk about the specifics of the co diction. She just wants people to pray that her new medications work and it goes away.

Stop pussy footing around and either share or shut up. 🤷♀️

It was not painful for her at all and that was her very first time having a surgery. She was really sore and of course had restrictions on her arm. The worse part for her is because she is a petite person, she can see it under her skin. She says it creeps her out... still does to this day. The whole point was when it was time to replace T.C.'s maker, she kept saying how sick she was and how she could die, but didn't have the $$$ or the time because there was a retreat upcoming. That's how she got the money from everyone. Now she is saying it only kicks in 11%. Which story is it?

That’s what a pacemaker does. It’s fires when necessary. It’s not like you can go without a heartbeat 11% of the time.

Can someone please confirm that Tracie blocked someone from her group because they posted a gross photo? Why block and not just delete the photo?

Something to do with it could cause tracie to quit breathing?

I guess she talked about it on iNstagram? Something about that she could quit breathing if she saw the photo like that? Ok, I dont believe that, but whatever. Delete the photo. You dont have to block someone.

It wasn’t that gross. Just a scar. Some people got all weirded out on the post saying the person shouldn’t have posted it.

Dafuq is wrong with this weird world? I'm sorry, maybe if we applied some super smoothing filters to the scar photo like Tracie does every time she posts a picture featuring herself on IG?... Seriously, that woman will smooth her skin out to 1980s soap opera vaseline lens levels (and often not retouch the faces of other folks in the photo, making it extra obvious ). I didn't know there was a condition where you'll stop breathing from seeing a photo of a scar. Besides Drama Queen syndrome. Somebody pass me the smelling salts before I faint...

From her insta story—she blocked a person in a group so she will never see their posts again. To protect her self. I too think it was the knee replacement scar photo on Ali’s group. It was a freshly sutured knee surgical incision. No blood. No goriness. Just stitches. How do these people live in the real world?

I’m confused. Her pacemaker isn’t working properly if it allows her heart to slow to that point. I say that as a patient with a pacemaker. I say that as a patient who at my appointment to check it last week it fired 98.9% of the time during the last four months. I say that as a patient who has done her research and asked a million questions about tweaking settings on my device so I don’t feel it when it fires in my lower chamber because I don’t like that and I don’t need that.
I don’t know her situation obviously. If she’s passing out due to bradycardia with a functional implanted pacemaker, something else appears to be wrong.
I’m confused. This hits too close to home for me. I should probably delete this before posting but I’m not because I’m so dang confused over that message.

Congrats to Tracie for placing a fancy scientific word (which her "heart doctor" taught her) in there to validate her story. Bradycardia is the general term for chronic slow heart rate hence the need for a pacemaker for some (but not all) people who suffer from this. It all depends on how severe it is and how much oxygen you're lacking because of it.
There is zero link to gore images. I even looked it up on JSTOR. Tracie's associating her heart condition (real) to her emotional over-the-top reactions to "gore" imagery (a scar, seriously?) and making it sound like there's an obvious scientific connection there (not real). Ugh. Talk about distortion and manipulation. 100% Tracie Claiborne melodrama as usual. Classic NPD.
Anyway, time to get off my soapbox. Thanks for listening. ❤️❤️❤️

We need to hear from people like you who intimately understand and know what's wrong with Tracie's weird medical stories that just don't check out. You've been there, you know it better than anyone who doesn't have a pacemaker. Thanks for sharing your story and concern about what Tracie's saying.

I'm confused, too... I don't see 'gory images' listed *anywhere* in the complications section for Bradycardia on the Mayo Clinic's web site... ?!?
/s
ETA: I do see 'eat healthy and exercise' and I do see "avoid unnecessary stress and learn coping techniques to handle normal stress in a healthy way" but blocking any "objectionable" image doesn't sound like a healthy coping mechanism for stress to me... 'cause, well- life gets messy and stressful sometimes.
If she almost dies at just a photo of a scar, how did she manage to survive her own actual surgery and recovery, for goodness sake? or childbirth?

ok, yes!! This is what my friend was telling me about & could not remember the name. I just can't with her - literally, how does she live in the world if a photo can cause her heart to stop beating?

I don’t know why the offending picture poster had to be banned. I’m sure a “hey, would you mind not posting pictures like that” would resolve the problem. It seems like such a huge overreaction for an innocent “offense”.

So technically she blocked the person from showing up on her own feed because only a group owner/mod can ban a user. And she had to go and make a big to do about it.

I don’t know how she can be on social media and never see things that will cause her heart to slow down to dangerously low rates even with a pacemaker. The drama runs deep with that one.

How did she take care of her daughter when she was little? Kids get scrapes, bumps, and other "gross" things all the time. Did she pass out then? "Trigger words?" How does she function out in the world? What a drama queen! Some people never grow up.

I have bradycardia and a pacemaker. My pacemaker kicks in around 10% of the time. The only time it kicks in is when my heart rate gets too low, which is usually when I'm sleeping. I used to have episodes and pass out which is how they found the bradycardia. The perimeters of my pacemaker are set for it to kick in when my heart rate drops too quickly, or drops to a certain bpm. I have never passed out since I got it 10 years ago. That's the purpose of the pacemaker - to pace me out of a low heart rate episode. Even if my pacemaker died, I wouldn't die. I would probably start passing out again, but I'm not in any danger of dying.
Of course I don't have an intimate understanding of TC's situation, but if it's anything like mine, the pacer is keeping her from passing out when her heart rate gets too low. What Tracie says is happening just doesn't make sense. Or she needs to get a new cardiologist. It doesn't add up for me. She's classic NPD for sure!

Wait, wait... That's what I have! Though gross photos don't do it for me. I can, watch a scary movie, bandage a child's wound, of any kind and any severity, I can listen to someone's story about their terrible surgery. The only time it happens is when I stand up too fast. And I don't have a pacemaker. But I've had heart rates in the 30's. And the best part of this... It's not even close to being the most serious thing wrong with me! And I do understand we all have things wrong and everyone is different... Even if they sound messed up...
