I just read about this and indeed the image of a toddler having a tantrum came to mind immediately  "I'm not playing cos you won't let me win"  The funniest thing is that if you search for 'petulant toddler' on Google, loads of the images are Trump superimposed onto a child's body  |

This is just one of the craziest things ever. I read a comment from someone saying that it sounds like a line from Monty Python - "US president refuses to visit Denmark because they won't sell him Greenland".

Presumably he had actual business to discuss at this visit that had been planned a while ago. The fact that Denmark's president is a woman and said the proposal to buy Greenland sounded like a joke caused a major Trump tantrum. He can't stand powerful women telling him no.

I've been trying to educate myself more about economics lately, and I understand that Trump has asked the fed to cut interest rates by a full percentage point. Big cuts like this happen only when the economy is bad - for example, during the height of the 2008 recession, the fed only cut interest rates by 3/4 of a point. Trump is asking for more. He knows. And he knows it's going to be bad for him next year. |

Trump can do whatever he wants to other people, especially non-white/non-Christians, but when their own personal bank and retirement accounts are impacted, that is the proverbial line in the sand they won’t tolerate being crossed. Hence, Denmark. And what will be a series of diversions up until the election if the economy continues its downward spiral. |

I was just going to point out that Denmark doesn't have a President, they have a Queen..Queen Margrethe and yes, the state visit invitation did come from the Queen. Mette Frederiksen is the Prime Minister. She is the one that said that his suggestion to buy Greenland was absurd.
