UPDATE 2: last EKG looks good. Headed home as soon as they come in with discharge papers. A little frustrated. I KNOW they hear and see the worst here, but there’s seriously NO convincing this dr. that this was a mistake and not a suicide attempt. She just got back from camp, her schedule is screwy, she’s exhausted. She took them at 9 when her alarm went off....at midnight she thought she had missed them and took them again ...and realized almost immediately what had happened. She went directly to her sister and then to me.
I get it, really, but OMG. Stop
UPDATE: Looks like we’re staying longer. Some portion of her heart beat is slower than it should be. So she has to have another (3rd) EKG in a little bit and then we’ll see. I’m not sure what’s next if it’s still slow.
OP: We get to spend the night at the hospital tonight. Her medication lowers your seizure threshold and affects her heart rhythm in this dose. She’s very calm, all things considered, but we could use some happy thoughts right about now.

Well on the bright side...you/she recognized the error and are now in the best place should there be trouble. Hugs

And now it's time to look into one of those daily pill organizer things. I took care of a friend post hip replacement surgery and discovered then how difficult it is to keep up with what medicine was taken and when.
Hope she'll be just fine.

Oh dear, hopefully she will be home soon and your mind will be at rest. If it wasn’t for the days written on the back of one of my meds I would definitely be using a pill organiser. I’ve taken the same things at the same time for over 25 years and I’m blowed if I can remember if I’ve had them or not!

Lots of good thoughts. I hope she feels better soon.
I agree with getting a pill organizer. It'll make life easier.

Zoinks, guess that kind of forgetfulness can strike at any age. Hope she is home, safe and sound, soon.

Glad you took her in for observation! Hope it all goes well. I use those pillboxes with the days stamped on the flap, and that works well for me!! It has saved me several times from taking too much medication. I even have Alexia set up to remind me to take my medication. That is all I use it for in fact.

She’s doing fine, as far as we know. Her ekg was a little abnormal when we arrived. We haven’t heard anything back about the follow up yet.... we’re here until after breakfast sometime at the least.

Hope everything is okay!
I just started using Pill Pack for my meds. Little packets, labelled with date and time. And I don't have to go to the pharmacy.

So glad she is doing ok this morning! Very good that she caught the error last night! I have 3 bottles that I just turn upside down in the am after taking them and right side up at night after taking them.
