Oh, I'm so sorry this is dragging out. Everything crossed for better results after the next EKG.

So scary. I did that once with a seizure medication, went the next day and bought a giant daily pill organizer.
Glad to read she’s doing ok.

I'm sorry she has to stay but she's in the safest place she can be to monitor her situation.
I hope she is well soon.

I'm glad she is handling it well. I'm sure they just want to be cautious and keep her where they can monitor. I hope she gets home soon!

S glad she is doing well, but sorry you are having to deal with that. I understand the doctor’s concern and think it should be expressed, but there is a limit.

I'm so relieved to hear the update. I'm wondering why the doctor thinks suicide when it was only 1 pill? I don't think people who attempt suicide just take a second pill, I think they'd swallow the bottle??

I'm glad she's going home soon.
Sorry the docs are trying to assume suicide attempt. Many docs are jaded after so many years dealing with emergency after emergency. Don't take it personally. They are trying to reach out to her and send a lifeline just in case, because they've seen too many cases where the family denies the attempt, but the patient really needs help.
We know it was an accident. The docs need to cover all bases.
(((Hugs)))

I’m so glad that your DD is ok.
I’m diabetic and they always warn us that routine is good. It’s the changes in routine that mess us up—coming home late, traveling, illness, etc. I know when I’m tired, I’m much more likely to mess up dosages or give myself 2 shots with a meal. We are in the middle of a move and I’m having so many lows right now it’s scary.
I would encourage her to get a pill organizer and to use it. One mess up one too many times and DH was convinced.

Her big sister bought her a pill organizer before we were even home from the hospital. 🥰

I'm so happy she is headed home. I assume she'll have a follow up visit with her normal doctor. I'd make sure to explain what happened, as the ER doctor probably put the suicide idea in her chart.

Thankfully, the ER doc actually spent some time talking to her and understood what happened. It was the dr on the cardiac floor that was such a pill about it. She didn’t bother. We have a follow up today. kernriver she’s 19

I'm glad the doctors checked on her intentions even if at least one of them didn't seem to be really listening -- that's better than missing someone who needs help. Hopefully, this all gets resolved with no residual side effects for her and she's back to enjoying her life very soon.
