It is very common for those have battled their weight to still feel fat after all their hard work to lose the weight. You are probably much more focused on you weight than anyone else. You have achieved a goal you set for yourself. Good job, well done.
I’m sorry the photos didn’t come out the way you wanted, that stinks. I give you the badge of courage for even giving it a try. I avoid the camera at all costs.

Being relaxed and comfortable in front of a camera is the one thing that contributes most to great pictures. My entire life until I was about 50 was one giant photo shoot. My father was a photographer. I was so used to a camera pointed in my direction from the time I was born that it never bothered me. I have always taken great pictures.
My husband on the other hand is a handsome man and his pictures always make him look like a dork. He freezes up, rears his head back and puts a stupid smile on his face. He always looks goofy. One day I got out my dad's old camera and went into the garage where my husband was working. I just kept shooting pictures for hours until he forgot I was there and quit paying attention to the camera. The pictures from that shoot are amazing. They actually look like him. Best pictures he has ever had taken.

I'm sorry. We had two huge family photos with both sides of the family this year and I get the disappointment, but I have weight to lose! Congratulations on losing lots of pounds!

I'm sorry the photos weren't what you had hoped for. Congratulations on the weight loss! That is a major accomplishment. Not only have you lost the weight but are apparently keeping it off. Good for you for getting healthier while taking care of your family. Try to take some comfort in all the things you have done you are proud of.

I old like to add, OP, if you’re anywhere near Portland, OR, I’ll take portraits you’ll love for free. That's such a generous offer! Unfortunately I live on the east coast...too bad you are not in Portland, Maine! Thank you, that was very sweet of you!
