The after is usually how my son looks before he goes to school. I CAN NOT wait for Monday!

I love this! My youngest has definitely come home looking like she’s lived a rough life on the streets.

I like the comment, “Maybe she hit the pub after school. “😂

I have a few similar to that, maybe not quite as bad on the after. I remember picking DD1 up from school once and her clothes were all on inside out after she had dressed herself after having had a physical education lesson (PE). Fortunately it was the last lesson of the day. To this day I have no idea how she managed to do the buttons up on the inside of her cardigan

Photo op... didn't read the story... staged... but adorable. There are a lot comments that are saying this. While it might be true, I think this one is not. People are saying no dirt, etc. I think that is why this is real, it is all just little things that happens to someone who get disheveled easily. I can so see this being me at the end of the day as a kid. It wasn’t that it necessarily a rough day or that I was dirty it was just that I didn’t pull up my sock or fix my shirt when it came undone, my fine hair did that as a kid if I didn’t brush it, etc, etc. I may be wrong but if I had to vote I would say this is not staged.

This so reminds me of my oldest - after graduating from the elementary school where I worked, he went to a school with a traditional dress code. He looked SO HANDSOME when I sent him off to school that first day. I couldn't wait for all my friends (his former teachers) to see how grown-up he looked when he came to my school to meet me for the commute home. Well. Like @dottyscrapper's DD, he had changed clothes for PE... He arrived at my school with his untucked shirt buttoned up wrong (one side higher than the other) and his tie completely askew ("I couldn't figure out how to get it back on!"). He really looked like he'd just rolled out of bed after a long night at the bar. That was NOT the grown-up image I'd planned for him to present to my colleagues!

That child had a good day with stories to tell. Remember those days? Man, to be a kid. Oh way, no, my mom made me eat cold canned corn. I'll pass on that part.

I don't think it's staged either. The local paper requested photos, as they do every year by the sound of it, of the children's first day at school photos for their Facebook page. This year they decided to ask for a morning ,going to school photo and an after they finish photo. There are a few others on the newspapers Facebook page, not quite as dishevelled as this little girl but certainly not as pristine as when they left home in the morning. I can't seem to link the Facebook page for some reason but it's the Barrhead News FB page.
