I've never done a December Daily but I'm considering it this year - especially since this'll probably be the last Christmas with all of my children at home. I won't be buying a kit - I have WAY too much Christmas paper to even consider it. I have an 8x8 red/green album in my stash so I think that'll be the starting point for me and I'll work from there. I like the traditional red/green Christmas colours and I don't live somewhere with snow.... This is exactly what I did last year which had been the first time that I'd done a DD. In the past I've chosen colours. Then I've made my album throughout December, working on it on the weekends. Crazy!! This year I'm choosing my colours and making my album. Then come December I'll simply add photos and some journaling. Much easier. I've decided not to buy anything new this year. The few things I've seen so far I just didn't care for. Way too much glitter for my taste and weird colours in my opinion. So I'm going to use up my huge stash of Christmas stuff. Next year I'll treat myself to some new things. I found a really neat spiral bound sketch book at the art store. Technically not expandable I can add things if I'm careful. I'm going to use it, adding some pockets and using some of the pages to sketch on. I really hope my finished product looks remotely the way it does in my head. lol This is what I need to do! |

If you haven't found exactly what you are looking for this year for your December Daily check out the brand new Hello December Project Life by Stampin' Up! kit. I've never done DD but this kit has made me want to give it a try this season. Quantities are limited so if you like these items don't wait too long. Where is that cute red sleigh on that card from? Is it a die? I didn't see anything in the Holiday Supplement catalog. |

It comes white and you can use your reinkers or water colors and paint it whatever color you choose. |

Kelly Purkey's kit went up for pre-order today. I don't like it as much as I liked her design last year (or was it the year before? - I can't remember, but one of those years her kit was just stunning!)

Cocoa Daisy has a sneak peek of their kit.
Nothing is enticing me this year. I think I am going to get some of Webster's pages All that Glitters and use some of my enormous Christmas stash.

I bought last year's scraptastic dd last month for $35!!! Including the handbook and page protectors. I lived this kit last year but couldn't swing the $100 so it worked out great that I got it this year for a bargain. I think there is 1 thing that says 2013 that I won't use obviously but the rest is awesome.score! That's a fantastic deal. I just looked into it but unfortunately the international shipping is a killer. Yay for you though! did it actually come with the album? it said on their site that the album was not included. I'm assuming "handbook" is a type of album... |
