I don't think that I am going to buy a kit this year, but will add to my stash and make a kit from old and new supplies. I am thinking about a Handbook for the variety in pages. I like the 3x4 cards from Pretty Little Studio and am wondering who else will have 3x4 and 4x6 PL type cards for this project. What are you planning on using? I'm open to all sorts of ideas!

I have been purging my stash the past few days and as I come across anything in the color scheme I have chosen for this year I am stashing it in an Iris case. Yeah that Iris case is full! So I think I am good, sorry I am no help. I refuse to buy anything this year but have you tried googling or searching on pinterest for Christmas printable project life cards? There were tons when I was looking.

I didn't like the colors in the DD kits I saw this year. I am planning to use the cards/dots/embellishment pack from Simple Stories Cozy Christmas.

I prefer a white/blue/silver/kraft color scheme, so I usually end up making my own kit. If I see something cute to add to the pages, I will buy it, but this year I'm trying to just use what I have, simply because I have sooo much stuff.

I'm actually down to the dregs of my Christmas stash after last year and I haven't really thought about what I want to do for this year. I'm toying with the idea of doing it digitally but I also know my ability to finish digital projects is.. uh.. challenged. And I really like the break that working with paper gives me in the crazy season. I'd also love to know what others are doing so I can maybe work out a game plan before December!

I also passed on Ali's kit because it wasn't very "me." I still need to find my album, but I'm planning to use my stash supplemented with a few new things. Since I didn't get Ali's kit I purchased the Very Merry embellishment kit from Freckled Fawn. I'll probably also get a few new digital files from Kerri Bradford. This is my first year doing DD and I just cannot wait!

I really like Pink Paislee's Merry & Bright collection and I think I am going to add a cut apart sheet from Websters Pages's All That Glitters collection because I just love the Santa in that collection.

After a ton of thought, I passed on Ali's kits. I loved parts of it, but there were some parts I'd never use, and the thought of $108 plus exchange just seemed too steep for that. I did buy the kit for the first time last year and loved it but have tons left over. This weekend I took advantage of a sale at Joann's to buy a Handbook and some page protectors since I do like the format, and I'm on the hunt for a kit or at least a paper line that I like to use - I just need a very few embellishments as I mostly use photos for my DD. I'm going to check out the lines mentioned here.

I really like Pink Paislee's Merry & Bright collection I'm so glad you mentioned this because I went and googled and now think I need some of this for my album. I miss seeing all the new releases so never have any idea what is available any more.

I used the Christmas Smash book last year for mine...I didn't do it daily, but I did get a lot of my Christmas projects in there--cookie exchange, ornament exchange, a Christmas party...I have never done December Daily, but I loved smashing it all last year, and being able to look back on it. There is room in the book still so I plan to put this year and maybe next year in it, depending on what fits, but after that I am going to try December Daily for real! I am just afraid if I do December Daily separately from the Smash book I already started, the Smash book will always be half finished!

I spent some time last week going through the Christmas releases on A Cherry on Top (this store is great for keeping up on new lines) and I kept coming back to this one.

I really like Webster's Pages 'All that Glitters' collection for this year. Last year, I used a 8x10 chipboard album for my December Daily and covered the pages with lots of non-traditional patterned papers from my stash. This year, I'm thinking I might go the 'pocket page' route and just incorporate patterned papers minimally throughout, using a 'Handbook' style album or Snap/Simple Stories binder.

I'm not going to do a separate album but will mix in lots of things with my regular PL. I've been trying to resist buying anything new because I have a lot of Christmas supplies to use up. If I do that this year, maybe I can treat myself to some new things next year

In the past I've chosen colours. Then I've made my album throughout December, working on it on the weekends. Crazy!! This year I'm choosing my colours and making my album. Then come December I'll simply add photos and some journaling. Much easier.
I've decided not to buy anything new this year. The few things I've seen so far I just didn't care for. Way too much glitter for my taste and weird colours in my opinion. So I'm going to use up my huge stash of Christmas stuff. Next year I'll treat myself to some new things.
I found a really neat spiral bound sketch book at the art store. Technically not expandable I can add things if I'm careful. I'm going to use it, adding some pockets and using some of the pages to sketch on. I really hope my finished product looks remotely the way it does in my head. lol

I'm working on one right now. just a really quick album with two days per page so the album doesn't get too thick.

I actually came to the board to post this exact same thing. I've seen brown, mustard and a whole bunch of colors that I would never associate with Christmas. Just because you put a reindeer on it does not make it holiday-ish. I like Snow Day by Lawn Fawn. I'm just not sure if I have the patience to pull stuff and put together a whole DD.

I did a Holiday "mini" the past two years- using items from my stash. I just can't keep up with a Daily. I am planning to do the same thing this year. Although I did see a really cute pad of paper at TM with Christmas papers. Can't remember who it was by-maybe WRMK? It was $6.99 and I showed a TON of restraint and did not buy it. If it's still there next week, I'll take it as a sign and make the purchase. LOL.

I also have not been a big fan of the DD kits this year. I bought the SC kit last year. I really liked it but have not finished my album yet I am thinking I will just use my stash as I have quite a few Christmas items that I have bought the last couple of years and I bought the SC Magical 6x6 pad to use. I really want to keep it simple. What album is everyone planning to use? I love the 6x8 size but I want one with a big spine. I really like the SC handbooks but they are being redesigned. I am thinking about seeing if I can find one somewhere before they are all replaced... Also would love to see anyone who puts together their own kit. I will try to do a blog post about it but it may be a week or two before I have time to pull it together as my house has been greatly neglected lately due to work deadlines

I just bought one of the old style Handbooks from Joann's. it's 6x8 and I think the spine is 2.75" which I thought was perfect last year.

For December Daily, I've used my stash for the past 2 years. Last year I bought some chipboard albums from Michaels for under $5.00 and made my own album covers and the year before that redid a Recollections smash-like album (8 x 10?) cover, removed the inside papers and replaced the papers with Christmas papers by punching holes (no page protectors though, I was going to make some by cutting larger ones down and sewing them, but that never happened).
I really like the Scraptastic Stocking Stuffer kit this year, but not so keen on the pocket style method. Larger sheets of paper are easier for me to work with and I already do Project Life, so debating back and forth on what I want to do this year. Thinking I might just buy the album that is in the Scraptastic kit, the gold and white one, because I really like the size but use the one sheet page protectors and buy my own elements mixed with the small Christmas stash I already have.

I am in the unsure box for how I am going to approach my DD. Unlike every other theme I don't have a lot of Christmas products because I don't do a lot of 12x12 pages for it. Last year I made my own covers and everything inside so I am very low on supplies. I probably need to consider a kit or start gathering supplies at least. I like bits and pieces from all over and that is probably what I will go with, not a collection as such. I like the Pink Paislee, the Webster's Pages and the Elle's Studio but they don't really go together. Must give it more thought!

I bought snap's cozy Christmas plus the elements from the line. I have the 6x6 pad from Carta Bella Merry Christmas. I have some elements from that line. They seem to match well together. I have some other bits from Tim Holtz, Kaiser Kraft, Studio callico and so on. I have decided to do a 12 x 12 album. I don't think I can really pre make mine though. I need it all in front of me to be able to do it. I can make my title page and maybe some other pages like favourite Christmas carols and Christmas memories etc. or Christmas past. But the current I will need pictures. I really want to do this album. Last year I had all the stuff ready and life happened and just wasn't meant to be. this year I'm ready. Full Iris case ready.

I bought last year's scraptastic dd last month for $35!!! Including the handbook and page protectors. I lived this kit last year but couldn't swing the $100 so it worked out great that I got it this year for a bargain. I think there is 1 thing that says 2013 that I won't use obviously but the rest is awesome.score!

I've never done a December Daily but I'm considering it this year - especially since this'll probably be the last Christmas with all of my children at home.
I won't be buying a kit - I have WAY too much Christmas paper to even consider it. I have an 8x8 red/green album in my stash so I think that'll be the starting point for me and I'll work from there. I like the traditional red/green Christmas colours and I don't live somewhere with snow....

If you haven't found exactly what you are looking for this year for your December Daily check out the brand new Hello December Project Life by Stampin' Up! kit. I've never done DD but this kit has made me want to give it a try this season. Quantities are limited so if you like these items don't wait too long.

I can't find my list of themes and ideas I had from last year. I'm sure it exists and I just need to look harder.
