Tonight dh will be the only one at dinner. So, he'll have l.o. rechauffe. We have grilled chicken for sandwiches or pizza from a few nights ago or pasta. We're set. He'll make a salad, as well.
What's on your menu?
Have a happy day and a truly delightful weekend.

Trying to clean out the fridge, as I proposed a quick trip up north for Sunday and Monday. So I think we'll have what's left of the chicken thighs and grilled potato salad. I'll make a green salad, and we can supplement with green beans, which are ever present, apparently.

DH, DS and I are going to see Angel Has Fallen today at the movies. I think we'll have sausage for dinner or, if I make it to Raley's, maybe I'll grill steaks.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

The foil packets on the grill the other night was a hit, so dinner tonight will be a sausage, potato, vegetable foil packet. I wonder if dh will figure out that these foil packets are basically sheet pan dinners that he says he doesn't like. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) My guess is that even if he does figure it out, the fact that they're cooked on the grill makes them acceptable.

The girls have their first official soccer game today. One dd is still out with an injury(but she starts full practice on Tuesday). The other dd probably won't get much play time, if any. She's the goalie and they already have a full time goalie.
It's Friday, which means YOYO!!! We have some leftover pulled pork and some rotisserie chicken. I'll probably have some chicken.
Have a great day ladies!!

Dinnner here tonight was home made Pad Thai. I added more vegetables than the recipe calls for, as I am still feeling veggie deficient. DH’s plane home from Sweden was delayed about 15 minutes, so he should be home by 9:30pm. We then have a weekend full of making the house babyproof.

Trixie Bender It’s always fun when you can trick them! My boys tell me they don’t like potatoes. Then I say But you like French fries what do you think those are to their response only those kind of potatoes. My MIL was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night and they finally convinced her that it was okay to do an MRI with her kind of pacemaker. It is confirmed that she has had a hemorrhagic stroke. We went last night, she was coherent and I prayed with her; and my DH called her pastor, who came and prayed with us. They sent her for a CT scan last night. This morning, in spite of the bleak medical prognosis; she is sitting up, doing her PT, talking and eating ice cream. DH’s sisters are with her now, so we will go up later this afternoon. For some reason, my boys don’t want rechauffe, ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/thumbdown.jpg.gif) so I have to figure out a meal, before we go to the hospital.

Fridge is full of rechauffe. I look forward to getting downright sick of wonton soup, pot roast, and mashed potatoes. First world problems. (I seem to be entirely incapable of cooking for the number of people being served. It should be apparent to any normal person that you don’t need to cook 3.5 lbs of beef and 5 lbs of potatoes for 3 people, but no.) ETA destined2bmom, I’m sorry about your MIL. Wishing her a full recovery.

Prayers for you destined2bmom. Happy weekend! Can they send us home already or what? I'm pretty spoiled as they usually let us go early on a holiday weekend. My director is out today so maybe not. We will be having this for dinner tonight: ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190830/dee735f0f3f1be37499a0eddcc460365.jpg)

It's not that big of a deal right now because the girls being gone is only temporary. But man, when they're all gone. We're going to be eating a LOT of rechauffe.

Dh and I are waiting for salads at our favorite little place near where we used to live. He met me at the mechanic since I got the thrill of riding in the big truck with my little car on the back. Hopefully all it needs is a starter. So ...Greek salad with grilled chicken for me. I’m quite hungry!!

But when it gets to the point that I am tired of mashed potatoes, you know I’ve gone a little overboard.

For our dining pleasure this evening we will be enjoying Italian Hot Turkey Sausage and Black Eyed Peas except I will be using ground chuck instead of turkey sausage, black beans instead of black eyed peas, and angle hair pasta instead of whole wheat spaghetti noodles...........LOL!
Happy Dance Friday Everybody!

We are on the road. I believe we are having seafood this evening. Baltimore crab cakes, here we come!
Thanks for the thread. I’m another one with a deep love of rechauffe.

On the way home from school I picked up a steak for DH. If he's hungry enough, that's what for dinner. I'm eating fruit salad.
Let the long weekend begin. I have virtually no plans. I have a painting project and I'll share a picture when I'm done.

DH and friends went to the high school football game and I worked in the yard until dark. Dinner was a ready-made salad from the deli of the local store. And if you eat salad, you totally get dessert...in this case, key lime cheesecake from the bakery. Happy holiday weekend to one and all!

psiluvu, thank you so much. Scans today didn't show any other damage. Woohoo. destined2bmom, I'm so sorry about your mil. My prayers are w/all of you. I lied about dinner. Dh requested gyoza. So, I made gyoza. I had to work hard. Ripping open the package and putting it in the deep fryer for 3 minutes is hard work. Then I had to wash rice and start the ricemaker. Whoa's me. BAHAHAHAHA! Enjoy your road trip desertgirl, who is not currently in the desert.
