You probably know the drill, if not I’ll post all the details on Tuesday.
--- Updated with information ---
This challenge is so you have bragging rights over cleaning up after your craft session, organizing a supply or your whole room, sorting or editing photos, organizing page kits, basically anything that’s not actually crafting that needs to get finished in the craft room.
Note the change for teams: If you’re on the team challenge you can claim 10 point for each hour spent. Your time doesn’t have to be consecutive.
You can claim a bonus point for before and after photos.

I have 6 inboxes that are 12x12 that should be full of all the things i need for my next 6 layouts, instead they are full of sticky notes, painted rocks, bobble heads, paperwork, and etc. no wonder my work flow is non-existent!

Many people clean as they go along or need to stop part way to clean again. Or some months people just work on organizing something and not making.

I thought you were really questioning when I read it. I've been going fairly quickly lately. Maybe if I were to slow down I would have gotten it.
Sort of the nature of the craft - we always need to pick up after. Although when I paper craft I do tend to let the piles build and build until I'm working on top of a foot high stack of things and the stack around the pages are much higher. When the family comes in with popcorn waiting for the tower to fall you know you need to start picking up.

You know I can go months without hearing about "bobble heads" and this week I've already heard it 2x. I hope you find a home for your painted rocks and bobble heads.

LOL! Why do the bobble heads all end up in the scrapbook room? I have many of those in my room too. And Lego's. My 11 year old decided he was done with Lego's and wanted to get rid of them all. I just can't give them up, so I put them all in the scrapbook room, but now to figure out what to do with them. Hummmm, sounds like I need this challenge!

Need to go now and add in my 3 hours of cleaning/organizing on Sunday. Would LIKE to add in the points for the two hours of LOOKING for stuff I had supposedly put away but was not right where I thought it would be: stuff that was "right in my hand" an hour or two ago...

We've all been there and can feel your pain, Dee. I hope you found it in the end. Usually it's a day or two or never before I find what I'm looking for.

I've spent about 3 hours getting all my photos in the right place. Next step editing & printing the ones I want to scrapbook. I'd love to get it done tonight so I can order them from shutterfly. I normally print them myself but there's a lot and I don't want to spend the time & supplies on it right now.

Linda, how many pages are left before you put it away? If it’s too many can you do a partial pick up to help with the clutter. Sometimes I can and sometimes I can’t but it helps when you can. christinec68, the best thing about digital is not messing with photo picking, sorting, or editing. For traditional scrapping it’s the bane of my process.Good luck.

ok, so technically he's a funko pop, not a bobble head, and he's my celebrity crush Jensen Ackles (playing Dean Winchester from the TV Show Supernatural), but ya know, tomato, tomatoe...

Linda , Woo Hoo!! That's awesome! It's only day 6 of the month, what will you be turning your attention to now? ABCreations , that looks nothing like Jensen Ackles. He is a cutie though as is his SN costar. DS & I watch the show, but we started late and just do an episode here or there. We're on season 6. They are so funny. I think your figure needs a place of honor in your room.

LisaDV - I asked the older kids (via FB message) what they wanted me to work on next - gave them a bunch of suggestions including finishing DS's Okinawa album, starting the 2019 family album, doing the next month (June) in the 2018 family album, working on the family Gulfport trip, or working on DD's St Augustine Camping trip. They both suggested June 2018 so... It'll be a nice change of pace from travel pics - and I can go back and try Sketches 1-5 again since I'm working with entirely different photos.

Thanks LisaDV - claiming another hour for renaming all the album scans, organising them into a folder, and backing up to my external drive (not the more fun part of scrapbooking for sure)

hi, poking my head in to share that I did some more cleaning and organizing of my room this weekend, and so far I'm scrapping and cleaning up! I gave myself 3 hours credit on the challenge tally page. I got: all my printed photos corraled into one place, on top of my Expedit. The are all either in storage albums a la LOM, photo boxes or plastic document cases. No more manila folders, no more plastic page protectors, I actually had them stashed loose in page protectors! So that's sort of an organized chaos still but at least everything is in ONE spot. Next I'll start pre sorting them, vintage family and then sort by decades from there. Oy. Just thinking about it.. Then I also did similar with my DDs school memories and school pics. I got all the 8x10 and 8x10 class pictures on to their own pages and into the 2 chrono school albums. I'm going to tackle that monster a school year at a time. I'm shooting to be caught up before 9th grade and HS starts next year, so I am giving myself until next summer to catch up. All that moving stuff around I actually decluttered a lot, leaving me more room in my space. Not gonna fill it with new stuff, nope. I mean, not a WHOLE lot of new stuff. I'm not subbing to any kits, I'm going to bust my stash. And half that battle is having everything orgainzed so I know how to find it! I actually made myself an inventory map! I wrote down the supply and where to find it in my little notebook. adhesive refills: Ikea box instruction manuals: pink accordian file laminator sheets: Exped cubi with the Cutting mats and on and on like that. I swear I used to spend more time HUNTING for things, becuase I'd decide to reorganize and then FORGET where I put it! Feels great to scrap when I can lay my hands on any given supply in the moment I decide I want to use it.

deep-cleaned the family room including my scrappy corner today - washed curtains, steam cleaned the carpet, sorted through every drawer and shelf and the nightmare UNDER the scrapbook table AND the nightmare in the top corner of the scrapbook table. I even moved the futon and cleaned under it ....yikes - I should do that more often.
I spent 4+ hours on the scrappy/crafty side of the room (and a couple more on the rest).

oh yvonne, you are an organization goddess. Getting like with like is a big step, ie your photos and school memorabilia. However, the supply list is brilliant. I redid my room last summer, then started doing only digi pages. I did a paper layout this week and was constantly trying to find my organized items. I should make a supply list like yours when I unpack them at the other house.

Wow! You were a cleaning machine, Linda! It always feels so good to have things cleaned, but in my craft room it never last. - - - - - I’ve been switching supplies that aren’t going to the new house out of the unit that is and putting things that are going in. Movers come Monday. Also trying to get rid of 6 months worth of dust and dirt before they get here. I’m only counting an hour of time as I cleaned up from a layout and cleaned off the top of my long work bench that’s going. I should go clean off the small one even though it’s not going.

LisaDV - thank you - I'm working my way around the house this week deepcleaning - my sister and her husband arrive Sunday and they are minimalists who only have his kids every other weekend and no pets...plus they have a really nice, well maintained house and I live in a poorly maintained, cluttered mobile home. Good luck with the moving
