I don't know why.. LOL.. All of a sudden I can't seem to get enough of it. It was a show that I have only caught here and there since it was before my time. I have always enjoyed it.. but for some reason.. and I think because everything I really WANT to watch is not appropriate for my 11 year old.. so I just keep turning back to good old Andy and Barney.. It's cracking me up.. such great comedy... I didn't realize that Barney's go to line is "NIP IT IN THE BUD"... makes me laugh every time.

I love it, too. Actually, most of the oldies are like comfort food for my soul.
I Love Lucy, Burns and Allen, Make Room for Daddy, Perry Mason.
I’m 48, so they were before my time but I’ve been watching reruns since I was a kid. 💕

I don't watch too many of them. I can get sucked into more of The Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island and that era... But all in all Andy is probably my favorite oldie.. along with I Love Lucy.. those two are the greatest.

I love the Andy Griffith show. There is such a simplicity and nostalgia about it.

Yep I still watch AG, Bonanza and Gunsmoke and love seeing some of the older actors when they were little and life seems so much simpler.

I watch matlock instead. I can not stand don knots whatsoever, The apple dumpling gang use to fill me with rage.
Andy Griffith was one of my favorite actors.
We were on a perry mason kick for a very long time. So filled with whoa how did that ever pass the censors.

LOL. Last night we were sitting around and DH was looking for something to watch to kill the time until DD went to bed so we could watch the last couple episodes of Stranger Things. What does he put on? THE WALTONS. OMG. I haven’t seen that show in decades. My parents used to watch it sometimes and because there were so many kids in our family too we would jokingly call out to each other at bedtime, “Good night John Boy!” “Good night Mary Ellen!” I don’t remember anything too specific about that show other than thinking “Why doesn’t John Boy get that big weird mole taken off his face?”

My all time favorite show growing up was Little House on the Prairie (and I can differentiate between the show and the books) Loved the books as well. I might have had a small crush on Pa.. heehee

Great choice!!! There's not too much that's appropriate these days!! I started watching "Mom," "Bewitched," "I Dream of Jeannie," "Bob Newhart Show". They ALL make me crack up and they really take your mind off of the crap going on in our real world right now! Nice to go back in time to a more innocent time period (well, "Mom" is current and it's naughty, but I've never seen it before....... The other shows are from my childhood and they make me seriously laugh out loud!).

I am just watching an episode and it has an actor on there who also played Uncle Jessie in the Dukes of Hazzard. (I just looked him up cause I couldn't place him).. anyways... he is telling Andy to get to his house during daylight because crossing the Robert E. Lee bridge is hazardous.. WHAT are the chances?? LOL

Love it, love it, love it!! I’m 43 but I watched it growing up because my dad loved it so much. I like the black & white episodes better than the color ones. Andy seemed happier then. Opie was a hoot!!!

We have always watched the "old" shows that hubby and I grew up with. So much better than the trash that is on now. Our girls grew up watching I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, My Three Sons, Leave it to Beaver, The Brady Bunch, I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, etc. Hubby is on a Leave it to Beaver obsession right now. He records it and watches when he gets home from work.

I think 'my' limit one older shows must be the 60s. I don't think I have watched many shows before that time frame.. (Not to put your shows down.. lol.... I think I just relate them to my dad and while he was watching those he was making me mow the lawn or something)

I’m on a western kick. HandI TV weekday mornings. Two episodes of Wanted Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen, then two episodes of Have Gun, Will Travel with Richard Boone. Loving HGWT. Then Rawhide comes on with Clint Eastwood. I get ready for work and leave so never get to see the end of that one.

I really love the Dick Van Dyke show. Rob and Laura Petrie had such a great marriage. And I loved that Richie was a normal kid. Kids on TV these days are smarter than their parents and snarky like grown-ups.

The Carol Burnett Show is my all time favorite. But I could watch The Walton’s literally everyday. Oh my goodness.. YES.... I love coming across clips on FB.. I can get totally sucked into her show. Comedy gold. Again, watch Andy.. I came across an episode that they were discussing in this day and age they needed to slow down.. I was thinking.. you go any slower you will be going backwards. lol.. of course it turns into this whole skit setting up a band in the park and they are all working like crazy and can't get it done and totally exhausted and cranky.

Big fan here of almost all the shows posted! Would you believe we are heading to Mt Airy NC on our way to Hilton Head?? It is Andy’s hometown and Mayberry was modeled after it. Will be going to the museum and hope to meet Thelma Lou in the library on Friday! Has anyone even been there??!
