She did not get arrested for DUI.
She passed all the roadside tests but several cars drove by taking pictures and video.
It was a set up.
She talked to Zach and was very disappointed in him.
She decided to run.
Bishop got other representation but set up a pack to raise money for her and had raised $140,000 so far. Alicia is not happy about it.

What is the secret with the intern then? If he wasn't sleeping with her, what was in the report that Eli didn't want her to know? I saw Eli fire her but I didn't see him line up the senate position.

Remember not everything in the report is true. It's what your opponents will say about you during the race.
People will say the governor had more affairs. Doesn't mean it's true.
Just like people will use the pic of the prosecutor leaving Alicia's apartment to say she slept with him.
Not true, but that's what it looks like.

The mother of the intern is a super pretty blonde though! She thanked Eli for getting her a different position and implied her daughter was difficult. I think Eli suspects there is more to the story with the mom.
Alicia asked Zach if he smoked pot, he started to explain it away , but she told him not to embarrass himself and to " Enjoy College" and hung up on him. Also, during the conversation he also asked why she was running instead of being excited for her or proud.
I loved the scene with Stockard Channing and her brother and Alicia, then Stockard with the mom of the holy terror. So funny!

Why would she want to subject herself to rehashing everything (and the inevitable new embarrassing stuff that will be dug up)? She's never had political ambitions in the past, so what changed? Honestly, Alicia barely has an answer for that, so of course Zach would wonder where this is coming from. |
