I am unable to use my selphy with my new laptop because it is windows 8.1. So I tried saving my images onto a memory disc. The problem is that when I try to print, the image won't show up and I get an error message. Has anyone had this problem and if not, how do you print photos to your selphy from your phone camera?

I can't help you with the laptop or disc printing. But for printing from my phone, I use the Canon app.

Have you done an online search to get your printer working. There is a work around to get the Selphy working with windows 8.

I use the wireless feature and print from my phone using the app.

If I have a picture on my regular camera (not cell phone) that I want to print, I'll email it to myself, check my email on my phone and save the picture to my Camera Roll. Then I can print it from my phone using the Selphy app.

I've only ever printed to my Selphy from my phone. I use the Canon app for the Selphy. I do the same thing cmpeter does for photos from my computer; email the photo to myself, save it to my camera roll, and print from my phone. |

You basically need to hook your phone up to the printer via the PRINTER'S WiFi network, not through your own WiFi at home. |

I use the Canon iEPP app too. The instructions should have come with your Selphy. You could probably download a .pdf from the Canon website.

I have always printed straight from the app, called canon iepp, I didn't have success with my 8.1 laptop either. BUT i will say that i've had great luck talking to their reps over the phone, at least with my new printer, a pixma, they totally walked me through the problems i was having. I highly recommend calling them!

I am able to print on my Selphy from my phone or directly from my desktop using Lightroom or Photoshop. It recognizes the Selphy through my home network. I am not able to do the same thing w/my LG Pocket Printer (sadly). My OS is Windows 7 though.

I have Windows 8.1 and I encountered that problem when I was trying to print photos that were modified in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements using my USB key.
Now, I process my photos in PS CC, open them with Picasa, just save them again on my USB key in Picasa without doing anything else, and then I am able to print them!
Yep, it is time consuming, but otherwise, I wouldn't be able to use my Selphy anymore.
