I am so sorry - I am glad you got to spend his final days with him but sorry that he had bad nightmares during those times. It is heartbreaking.
I am glad he is at peace now and I pray that you can find comfort and peace as well.

Wow, it's just amazing that people like that daughter even exist. so sorry for Pop's friends and family. I hope that jerk of a daughter is found and has to pay for her behavior.

This bring tears to my eyes. I'm so glad you were with him to offer comfort and love not only to him but to the granddaughter who needed that powerful hug and love. What a difficult, painful and confusing time those kids have had.

Thank you all so much! He was truly a blessing in my life, maybe more than I was to him - the way I see it anyway. He was so precious. It's sad that during funeral planning, we had to make plans to keep it quiet so the daughter (or HER mother, Pop's ex-wife) wouldn't find out and come harrassing the kids. Their grandmother, the mother of abusive thief of a daughter, has tried to contact one of the grandkids - stating that they were married more than 10 years, so she should get some of his money - CLICK. Granddaughter hung up on her and blocked her number. What a mess, and what awful people these two women are. Anyway, I thank you all again for your kind words. And knowing this group of women, I didn't do anything any of you wouldn't have done. Y'all are the best!  |

Oh Genny, you truly are an angel. I am so so so sorry this happened to this poor man, and that he passed. But at least he passed knowing he had you on his side instead of still being ripped off by that POS. I went back and read all 5 pages of the original thread, and I am infuriated. I can't believe someone would do that. Well, I guess I kind of can, my aunt was stealing my grandmothers medication and checks, but nothing at all like what you described. Just disgusting. I can't believe she has those babies with her still. My heart breaks for them  |
