Needless to say, mopping is not my favorite household chore. Any have a mop that they love that does not kill their back ? Thanks for any recommendations.

Love the ocedar. You don't have to wring it with your hands or lean over. So easy to use.

O'cedar Spin Mop. You don't bend over to ring it, as you spin it with a foot peddle in the bucket. The handle is also taller than most and I don't have to band over (5'6). I also like that is cleans without having to really push down and rub hard like other mops

I haven't measured it's height- I just love not having to wring one out.

I use an oldfashioned string mop with a longer handle and a commercial mop bucket - I do have to bend over to wring it out but it's SO much easier that the short handled mops

I'm another fan of the O Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop with adjustable handle.
Love the Costco deal with multiple mop heads so I always have a couple clean & ready to use.

I use a Bissell steam mop because I hate wringing mops and big buckets of dirty water. How heavy is it? Been looking at a steam mop but am concerned about how much they weigh as we have stairs

I have used a Hoover floormate for close to 20 years for my tile, slate and wood. LOVE it! I only wish the water tanks held more. I use a steam mop for our marble and polished slate floors (all bathrooms). There is no way I would ever use a regular map again, but that's just me!

Another vote for the OCedar Spin Mop! I LOVE mine, well as much as you can love a mop!
I can throw it in the washing machine to sanitize it so I never worry about it harboring any germs.

I have a Hahn steam mop and a Bissel Steam mop. I Love the Bissel one. The tank of water goes quite a long way. The Hahn is constantly empty, but it does a great job.
@calimom2 I would say that neither of them, even with the water tank full, do not weigh more than five pounds.

Thanks again for all your suggestions! I settled for the spin mop, since I'm able to pick it up locally (Target). Planning to put it to use and see how it works out.

How much is the spin mop at Costco? Does anyone know? My Costco doesn’t have them in stock right now, but I paid around $29 last year when they had it as a coupon book item. The Costco bundle also came with 4 mop heads.

I went and got it from Target for $31.99. It was cheaper than Amazon. Didn't want to fight the crowd at Costco to see if they had it.

I see you have picked one. But if that doesn’t work for you, I have pretty bad back and all over pain and I find that a steam mop may be heavier but as stated above, it does the work for you. There are very few spots that it doesn’t effortlessly get up off of my ceramic tile. Really tough spots I let it sit over for a few minutes and they typically come right up. That makes all the difference for me. Plus, no bending over and dealing with buckets of heavy, nasty water.

I like my Shark steam mop. It doesn't weigh much at all and not dealing with the bending is great!
I used a Swiffer for years before and this gets things so much cleaner!

We have linoleum tiles that are about 30ish year olds, so as long as it's clean, it works for me until we redo the kitchen and bathrooms.

I only use steam, so I love my Shark. It has the adjustable height for the stick. Still, when you're over 55, most repetitive household chores give you some kind of pain.
