I preordered them in April from marker pop. Haven't received them yet. I'm told that my next expected delivery date is oct. 29th. I think this one might actually happen, as Europe did receive the first production. The second production is for the U.S. I won't hold my breath, but I will cross my fingers. If someone has them, they will probably be in the UK.

I tried them at CHA. If you are familiar with Copics, and know how to use them, I'm afraid these are going to be hard to use. I've been using Copics pretty exclusively for the past 6-7 years and I just couldn't get a good result with these. But, maybe if you are just starting out and just learning with these, it will be easier...I don't know
With the way they work, it looks to me like it would be hard to match up your shading because it is a "guesstimate" on how much of the toner you used on the first project. So, if you wanted to touch up, or make a duplicate, I think that may be hard.
I think they started to ship in the UK already, but us in the US are still waiting.

Hmm, I don't see these working for me. With the ink changing colour constantly I would go insane. But it is probably how I tend to apply colour. I am a 'scrumbler' and don't see these pens being quite right for that style of colouring.
Besides I am happy with my coloured pencils and gamsol. Guess I'll stick with "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

My initial reaction was: i want those! But as lisavb said, it's probably difficult to estimate the amount of toner you need. I guess I'm sticking with my distress refills and markers for now, although they could be fun for doodling.

I received an email that delivery will be on oct. 20th. Finally. I had read several reviews before purchasing. Someone on splitcoast gave a thorough review (thumbs down), but I'm still taking a chance. I don't currently do any coloring of any sort, and was thinking of starting the copic thing. I preordered the full set of chameleons, as it was really reasonable. If I don't like it, I can always sell them. Or, maybe I'll love it, and enhance the system with copics. We are having some more work done on the house, so even though I waited 6 months for them, I probably can't play with them for a couple of weeks. And, I know nothing about alcohol marker coloring, so it probably won't look pretty.

Please keep us posted when you receive and have a chance to play! I wish they sold just one as a "try it, see if you like it" (A black one....because you can never have too many black pens!) I doubt I will ever get anywhere to see one being demoed.
