Just wanted to pass this info along... It is from a friend that is in clinical medical field...
Lume “natural deodorant”.
I looked it up to see why it worked so well and it’s main ingredient is mandelic acid. Looks like mandelic acid has no antibacterial action on its own. In an acidic environment (armpits are about 5.5-6), it breaks down into ammonia and formaldehyde.
Formaldehyde is a known human carcinogen which can also cause damage to the CNS so not the best idea to rub this on your pits daily.
I had an industrialist chemist “thanks Kim!” verify this and she confirmed this as well.
