“Trump has concluded. He said the usual things and told the usual lies, except for his declaration that he is building his border wall in Colorado, which was new.” The big takeaway is Colorado and Kansas Have somehow been moved closer to the Southern Border to the point a fence is being built in Colorado and Kansas will benefit by this fence being built in Colorado. OH!! An executive branch of duncesBY MAX BURNS, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR — 10/23/19 04:30 PM EDT THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY CONTRIBUTORS ARE THEIR OWN AND NOT THE VIEW OF THE HILLFour years ago, then-presidential candidate Donald Trump boasted to the media that his administration would overflow with only “the best and most serious people.” Now a statement this week from White House Personnel Director Sean Doocey shows that the Trump White House is having a whale of a time filling its vacant ranks with any people. ** thehill.com/opinion/white-house/467156-an-executive-branch-of-dunces

“You'll never have another president like me," Trump says, it seems specifically about his regulatory and energy policies. "That's for sure." From his mouth to God's ears, or "promises, promises".

Well, I mean the wall in Colorado will be built so you can't go under or around it.
Is it going to go encompass the state? because otherwise it would be pretty easy to thwart this master plan.
Also how will we commute in and out of our state? Will there be state border police?

Remember the good ole days when you would take this as totally a joke and not even entertain the possibility of it being so by someone holding the highest office in the land? Yikes.

'No quid pro quo?' Why Trump's impeachment defense sounds a lot like his Mueller defenseTrump is trying to use the same trick he used during the Mueller investigation to avoid impeachment. And it could work again — unless people keep focused on what matters. Oct. 23, 2019, 4:54 PM EDT By Teri Kanefield, attorney and author Taylor’s statement makes clear that Trump did indeed pressure Ukraine to launch an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden. It’s an abuse of power and a flagrant attempt to use the office of the presidency for personal gain. But as both Taylor’s statement and Ambassador Gordon Sondland’s statements to Congress also make clear, Trump wants the issue framed in terms of bribery (a crime) instead of abuse of power. Why? Because bribery — like all crimes — is hard to prove. Each element of the crime must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Trump can (and has) said repeatedly there was “no quid pro quo” — but Trump’s abuse of power is on full display for anyone to see. ** Note that Trump was the first to mention “quid pro quo.” Now, it’s the phrase on everyone’s lips. “No Quid pro quo,” is the new “No Collusion!”To complicate matters, Trump — and almost everyone else — uses the phrase “quid pro quo” incorrectly. People seem to think that “quid pro quo” means “bribery.” Nope. Quid pro quo is only one element of bribery. There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with quid pro quo, which simply means exchange of value. Without also proving the other elements of bribery, there is no harm. ** Tellingly, this is the same strategy Trump used to try to discredit the Mueller report — what we might call the “No Collusion” trick. It went something like this: Step 1: Trump positioned the goal posts where he wanted them by repeating “No Collusion!”
Step 2: People took the bait by responding “Yes, collusion!” and pointing out the evidence discovered by Mueller and investigators.
Step 3: Trump delayed and obstructed the Mueller investigation.
Step 4: When Mueller was unable to obtain evidence to prove each element of criminal conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt, Trump declared himself “completely exonerated.”** If you really want to pick a crime, extortion more closely describes the president’s behavior in pressuring the Ukrainian president. (Extortion is getting something of value by putting someone in fear. Threatening to withhold military aid created fear, thus fulfilling the definition of extortion.)** www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/no-quid-pro-quo-why-trump-s-impeachment-defense-sounds-ncna1070866

Sometimes I feel like all trump is missing with his often repeated catch phrases like that ^^^ is a swinging pocket watch in front of his followers eyes to follow. Something we really need to remember! Extortion!! The next one is that there is talk: WASHINGTON — Impeachment, meet government shutdown.
With funding for federal operations set to expire Nov. 21, the political class here is beginning to plan for the possibility — or the likelihood, in the eyes of some — that President Donald Trump will shut down the government to try to turn public opinion against House Democrats and their push to impeach him."He used it for his almighty wall for the longest shutdown in history, so I don't put anything past him when it comes to this," Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the Democratic minority whip, told NBC News. It's not just Democrats who have learned that Trump has a tendency to add as many chips to the pile as he can in high-stakes political battles, particularly when things aren't going his way. Right now, according to an impeachment tracker by FiveThirtyEight.com, a plurality of Americans (48.6 percent to 43.3 percent) support removing the president from office. Trump has a history of seeking dramatic means to alter storylines.** www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/will-trump-shut-down-government-fight-impeachment-n1070106

He's exhausting. All the twisting, turning and spin, spin, spinning. If he put in half the effort in doing something constructive instead of all his BS... Exhausting the opposing public is the point. Bombard us every single day with a new outrage, overwhelm us with the futility of it all, and as a survival tactic, it will become background noise as we just shrug our shoulders and say, "Another day in crazy town!" And all the noise and corruption just makes his followers cheer. It's a win-win for Trump.

Not political..
There is currently a wildfire burning in Sonoma County north of me. It started at 9 ish last night and as of 6 am this morning it has burned 10,000 acres.
One of the reporters covering the the fire is right at the edge of it. She did her live report on TV and I felt bad for her. The smoke was so thick she could hardly talk but she kept going until she finished her report. What a trooper!

The 1% do not need Medicare! And this is the ultimate head scratcher for me folks. Much of my family and a few acquaintances are staunchly against social programs, refuse to recognize the need for them and yet are on Medicare. The same Medicare that covered my mom's healthcare, hospitalization and hospice, but my dad feels that 'his' family is entitled since he is a Vietnam vet.
They're all planning to vote for Trump again, against their own best interests.

Another one?! When was our first cival war? good catch! (see what I did, there? ) I didn't even see that error... maybe more people than just Colorado's schoolchildren need access to all-day kindergarten, for some additional education.
