After a couple rounds of chemo and some other medications, my brother has responded well to treatment.
When he was first diagnosed his kidneys were full of cancer cells as were some of his spinal bones and his blood.
His kidneys are now almost cancer free, they fused two of his vertebrae and today they told him how well he was responding.
He has gone from an expectancy of 20 months when first diagnosed to 15 years.
I'd love to write his chiropractor a thank you letter. He had been to the dr a couple of times due to back pain and just given muscle relaxers or whatever. The chiropractor did his thing and told DB that something wasn't right and sent him to get am xrat where they found the cancer.
Long story short, brother is doing much better and I am happy for him.

Great update! I hope your brother continues to do well.
A good chiropractor saved my FIL's life. Same thing, back pain, doctor blew it off, chiropractor took an x-ray and discovered an aortic aneurysm.

What a hopeful update. This could be one of those stories where someone is given a horrible prognosis and then lives well into old age. I pray that is so for your brother.

That's so awesome! I'm so happy for his great news! My dear friend from high school has multiple myeloma. It was diagnosed in 2012 when he was only 43 years old. He had treatment including a stem cell transplant and was in remission for quite a few years. He relapsed this past year and has been undergoing new treatments, including another stem cell transplant from a donor instead of just his own stem cells. It's been a tough few months, but they are saying he is turning the corner and he is feeling better. I saw a recent photo of him on facebook and his smile is back to reaching his eyes! It's so good to see. He is a well known Classical Musician and he and his wife started a non profit to raise money for Multiple myeloma research & treatments. His foundation is the Ryan Anthony foundation. It helps support Cancer Blows, which is a concert with very well known musicians that give a concert and all the donations go to the research. The concerts are held in Dallas Tx where Ryan lives with his family. If anyone in interested in supporting the research for multiple myeloma, the website is www.cancerblows.com I know they didn't have a concert this past year due to Ryan's treatments, but I know they are looking forward to holding more concerts. I pray they find an absolute cure for this horrible cancer. The strides they've made are so awesome! I'll keep donating so our family and friends have an even better chance at a healthy life.
