Having a chicken and waffle baby shower. Originally the plan was to purchase 3 inexpensive ones but I don't have a waffle iron and think a quality one with the ability to make two waffles at a time is a better way to go and then I could take it home when the party is over. No?

I have the Waring Pro waffle iron/omelet maker. It makes perfect waffles every time. I haven't used the side for the omelets/pancakes though. Waffle Iron

I only like very vintage waffle irons They get SO much hotter and make a nice crisp waffle. I am also a waffle purist. I have a very old fashioned waffle recipe that is THE best. Can't stand those fake ones made from a mix. Ick. Make sure your waffle iron is seasoned (even if it is a non-stick). Use a little Pam so they don't stick.

Yum! I have often said I want chicken and waffles, but have never had them.
I have almost the same one as SmartyPants, except for the omelet part. Mine only makes waffles and really good ones! Waring Pro machine at Costco for about $40 I think. The waffles are pretty big, one waffle is enough for two people in our house. it takes about 4 mins per waffle.

I have this one and I love it. It makes one large, round, thick Belgian waffle that can easily be separated into 4 decent sized pieces.

Do you put the cooked chicken in with the waffle batter?

We also have a Waring Pro Waffle iron. BEST. WAFFLES. EVER. I love a done waffle, I dont like there to be anything mushy about it. This one is perfect. Makes them crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Ours is a round one, But I noticed while searching on bed bath and beyond, there is a square one too!

Do you put the cooked chicken in with the waffle batter? The fried chicken is served on top of the waffle. A couple months ago I went on a date to a resturant called Marvins in D.C. and it was the first time I had ever had chicken and waffles. Amazing! You must find a place near you that serves it. Just ordered a Waring Pro on Amazon. Thanks for the suggestions

Waring Pro restaurant style waffle maker, available at Costco. First tried it at a hotel where it was part of their breakfast buffet. When I saw it at Costco, I bought it. I absolutely love it! It only makes waffles, not omelets.

It only makes waffles, not omelets. I was wondering about this one since it got mixed reviews online. Someone here mentioned having a waffle bar at a baby shower and I thought that would be fun to do at Christmas or for a birthday party. I saw some recipes on Pinterest where people have used their belgian waffle makers with cake batter and I've wanted to try it! Did you buy yours in the store or order it online?
